Even after educating you, you have taken your parents money for wedding? You should be capable of managing your own expenses if you aren't doing court marrige. Considering you are educated so could have worked and saved for marrige. I am not blaming you, don't know your situation but this could be improved so parents can have money post retirement to complete their ambitions (like travelling etc.)

@@amansohani4620 Are you passing a judgment without knowing the complexities of life? Arunima ji was expressing how her parents were wise with such fondness.. try to understand her point of view and respect it. You might have more liberty and choices to lead a better informed life today. But don’t judge others without knowing their surroundings and situations. Try it. It helps you connect with people instead of spreading negativity. Best wishes!

Sir, in my family relation, there is one known relative, they live in Chhatarpur area of Delhi. They are highly rich and cultured people, They had spent 2.5 crores in their daughter’s grand wedding. Every thing was so smooth. People took it as an ideal wedding. Parents of the bride thought it to be the best gift for their daughter. But nobody knew that this great grand wedding would not be able to last even for 10 months !! क्या करेंगे इतने करोड़ रुपया देकर जब आपकी beti ही ख़ुश नहीं हैं??😢 Now their daughter is crying day and night to get a divorce, but she isn’t able to . She is suffering day and night . I don’t understand why people anticipate that spending more and more money will guarantee a happy and successful and satisfied life , Rather than focusing on a happy and satisfied life for their children.

Since past 70 years, 3 generations of my family have been doing the things that you mention in this video. Unfortunately people find it nearly impossible to keep things simple & live within their means. My father a self-made man of immense accomplishments, internationally reputed engineer & having highest ethical standards gave me the following advice when I started my career: 1. Don't do anything that will cause you loss of sleep when you are 65 years old because you cannot buy it. 2. People will respect you for what you are, and not for that you have. 3. Sustainability is the cause of happiness. 4. Simple things in life are always enjoyed the most. 5. Greed causes endless dissatisfaction & unhappiness 6. Live upto your own expectations & not those of others

This must be one of the best quotes I have heard in a long time on Middle Class Trap: Middle class people buy things they do not need from money that they do not have (loans/credits) to impress people who do not care and financed from a job that they do not like! - Sango Life Sutras. 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
You are extremely right guru ji,,, I am from West Bengal, lower middle class family background, we are two sisters & my father invested lots of money on our higher education & wedding, but my brother in law lost his part of inheritance & house after 10 years of marriage, fortunately he had a job with less salary, my marriage also flopped in the same year & my father's business got crashed because of covid, my mother also in tuberculosis that year,,, I am still struggling to get a stable job,,, my father wanted me to marry for the 2nd time but I stopped him, because we had lost lots of resources now is the time to be stable again,,, but my parents are ageing very fast,,, now I have to face their foolish deeds... This was my story,,, my English is not so good,,, after watching your video, I found my decisions were right... Thank you guru ji...🙏🙏🙏

Thank you for educating Indian middle class with your wisdom and learning. Me and my wife also believe in similar thought process. We have told same to our children and we are following all the 4 points that u have mentioned in your video. Also we have told them clearly that we will fund their education till graduation in India. But if they want to go for higher education abroad, then they have to take education loan and go on their own. This will give them sense of responsibility and putting load on them will make them more serious about their own life rather than spoon feeding them.

Food was tasty and timing was 1 pm to 8 pm ( note that sunset time is 5 pm here ) No show off People were very well dressed and disciplined Being north indian (marathi by roots ) it was good to see Also all rituals were being followed Earlier Marathi people ,specially those who migrated from Maharashtra during princely states ( MP UP Telangana Gujarat) used to celebrate Marriage ceremony in simpler way Now being attracted towards bollywood style ;fomo affected celebrations

Middle class series is going out of the park..great👍🏻
Agree in Toto. Luckily I am a Maharashtrian senior citizen so a simple life was part of our DNA .But our next gen is earning 4 times what we used to so all these problems are creeping in our society. So it is essential to talk about enshrining value of reasonability in society.

@@database4074 It's the thinking n way of looking has changed not the lifestyle . It's right that we didn't buy water cos we drank whatever water was available . If water supply is not there then we wouldn't mind going down to the chawl n carry water from the government tap or pull out water from the well . Mind you staying in Mumbai only . That time there was no show only work done is important . But now the thinking has changed . Work to be done with glamour . Or style .

@@database4074 who says that we didn't have to buy veggies etc . Every one was not a farmer . our parents worked hard for them it was work is worship . N we as kids enjoyed the most cos for enjoyment we played to our hearts content . Our next door neighbours , family everyone was just one large family . We didn't need to show anyone anything only pure love and helping nature .

It's very true, I agree 100%👌 But alas, unfortunately now it's beyond my control as I'm helpless in family decisions. Surely good message to each one from middle class people 👌👌👌
(1) Example of functionality: Instead of buying 40 lakhs Fortuner, purchase Daikin VRV air conditioner for home. If SUV needed, can buy 16 lakhs Honda Elevate (2) Children's education: Instead of studying in Australia, USA, UK, go to cheaper countries such as Germany, Taiwan etc. (3) Marriage: get married in a country where pre-nuptial agreements are valid documents. That way assets are protected. (4) Assets: On a plot of 100 sq.m, build a 3 floor property where the ground floor is commercial rental, 1st floor is for apartment rental, and top floor is for personal usage.
This is really an eye opener for every individual and for not only middle classes but for every human being. Thank you very much Sir..
From the Grandfather generation onwards we are following these idea upto 90%, Expect that we are not limited to inviting people's who are our blood relations only but also our other real social relationships to whom which we give respect from out heart and not just to showoff and we feel is necessary . No showoff on any function. Ek kahavat hamare dada ji ne humko sikhai thi ki " जितनी चादर हो उतने ही पैर हमको पैर फैलाने चाहिये " Sadar Dhanyad Sir Ji for you valuable thoughts as these are very much required to live a stress free life upto some extent. 🙏🙏
Your diagnosis is accurate. We are making our life hell to impress people who does not care.

Then do one thing....save everything in your bank and die at 60 without even enjoying your life. Ridiculous thinking. People earn to spend not to save. 😅😅😅😅

Really Eye opener and its 100% True. Keep guiding Sir. Thank you. leave those who are criticizing.
Highly appreciable video. Thanks and regards.
You are right - quality of higher education is extremely low in India . Public needs to raise awareness for it. Today's engineers can't even fix small things . Everything which people learn is on jobs. Not in colleges. But they charge huge fees . Online education courses teach what exactly is needed not colleges.
Sango- it is so heartening to see common sense being verbalised. bravo. keep it coming.
Sir, your four things discussed are really important where middle class has to concentrate. Thanks a lot.
Fantastic video.. eye opener and worth implementing

Bahut Shukria Sir Eye opening Content. Will try to implement all 4
I am so glad that I share the same views as you sir. I try explaining my relatives to be careful on their spends, but they hardly listen. My brother is a spendthrift who spends 90 percent of his earnings on clothes, shoes, watches, mobiles etc. My father in law has lot of loans yet he invites 500 people on my sister in laws wedding. He recently passed away leaving no tangible assets and his family at the mercy of his brothers. He sold all his properties and was of the view that we should live our life well and not think about future generations.

Very practical. Thanks
I agree with all the points you mentioned! I am surprised to see people ( with middle class earnings) spend so much on branded clothing, shoes and electronics , cars, jewelry, luxury vacations etc. They take loans so easily and practically are living pay check to pay check. And the college expenses part is so true. College is a big business all over the world, and we should invest wisely after thorough research. Give your kids a good educational foundation, and teach them the value of hard work and money, that’s most important in my opinion.
Absolutely in line with the thoughts. All the Four should be implemented. Awesome video. Society brands a person thinking on these lines as unorthodox & a non societal. The moment we can come out of that mental logjam of perception of others, life can be as simple as explained. Thanks Sir for the lovely & intellectual insights 👍

All suggestions are very practical and straight forward.we will surely follow them all👍
Love you sir..feeling like my father's advice..actually I lost him at 16yrs ,thank you soooo much for your valuable advice..🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I have studied in KV studied in govt women's college(free of cost) than law in govt college. Again PG in University. No doubt my father worked in Central PSU, so there's no scarcity of money in our life. My father always wisely saved his money whole life now enjoying his retirement. Even both me &my brother solmnised court marriages.

Excellent perspective indeed. Very few of us realize these things and get carried away in showing off and trying to match up a false status level which is of no use. Sir your inputs are valuable and realistic. We the middle class should be live to these thoughts and use our efforts and earnings carefully. Thanks a ton.

Eye opening. Now, as being father, i have changed my mind, and will do whatever in the best interest of my child, rather do expenditure on useless things, unnecessarily. Hats off sir.
