04-29-2017 Canton, TX - Stranded Storm Chaser Nearly Hit By Tornado

After total loss of data and communication from a phone failure, a storm chaser became stuck in the mud while retreating from the first Canton, TX tornado. The video details the close call, the car being pulled out, and driving up to the damage path where the chaser runs out of his car to search for victims.

It's ALL Jesus' fault LOL! These People and Their imaginary friend crack Me up!
Whew all odds against him....can only praise Jesus and our Lord God for that one!
One ought not to drive off the road. And speaking of which, how did this car get back ON the road? We saw it (presumably) get towed out, but by what, and who?
WHERE does one take cover???
Why isn't he using four wheel drive?

that was a huge ass tornado
My jeep could have gotten out of that hole easy why not get a pickup truck with 4wd with lockers good tires so you don't get stuck again.
You're in a fucking Ford Fiesta....trying to go through a flooded ditch with water up to the engine block. You shouldn't own a car when you don't know what it can and can't do. You're lucky you didn't hydrolock it. A bulldozer would get stuck in that even. PS: I dunno if you know this or not, but don't hide near power poles during a tornado whilst in aforementioned ditch full of water.

he wasnt trying to go through the ditch, he mentioned in his podcast episode about this event that he was trying to turn around when his wheels caught the ditch and the car slid in. In any case, this dude literally had a near-death experience, and your first instinct is to be a dick about it? least you could do is have some basic human sympathy first, jesus

Bad spot. Get out of your car and take cover. Automakers make cars, trucks and vans every day. They're not making any more of you and me!
Let us put this into perspective shall we? -- You focus on a tornado rather than driving and find yourself in a flooded ditch. You take cover in a tiny, flooded car beside power lines as a tornado approaches, missing the opportunity of a lifetime because - no mounted cameras - and put that shit online. -- I don't have to know you to love you. Maybe you find that odd, but I would've been hurt to find you, or anyone else as a victim. I hope you consider your loved ones and learn from your mistakes. If you do that, you can turn horrible mistakes into wisdom and actually remember this as a win. I hope you do.
