    There was about a $10 difference between the strut alone vs the complete assembly 😂

    Great video! Helped me do mine on a 2006 Malibu. I didn't have any impact gun, so i did it the old fashioned way; cussing an fighting all the way! 🤣🤣

    Also make sure to put the load back on the strut, before proceeding to torque the mounting nuts down to spec. This will prevent premature wear. Great vid man!

    Just did this job yesterday, IMPORTANT tip, the 3 studs ARE NOT equally spaced, 2 only measure "4 center to center while it's "4.5 inches the other way, BE SURE you have it oriented correctly or else they won't line up, you'll get the one in and secure it only to find out you need to drop it down and start over. The instructions from Monroe do not mention this nor does any strut video on you-tube for the Malibu.

    It's not mentioned anywhere because the 3 studs not being evenly spaced is so that it can only go on one way .

    @@themechanic6117 oh, it would have been nice for Monroe to put an arrow pointing into the engine, I get the feeling I'm not the only one who's made this mistake, at any rate they are installed now.

    Nice video man easy step by step instructions good job man, I have a 2005 3.5 Lt engine 218 horse light vehicle great gas mileage 234.000 miles never changed out the struts hearing clicking sounds and clicking from i think from the axles left side going to have to change them out also😔 but any how thanks again for the video man yes appreciate that👍

    Most aftermarket GM sway bar links you have to build them from a kit which includes grommets and washers.

    Its a splined bolt so you dont have to hold it with a wrench just saying and the stablizer like just use vicegrips if it stock

    Most times no . But if the steering wheel is no longer straight then take it for a wheel alignment

    Its recommended to check the alignment after that jobbut you'll know if the alignment is off once you drive it

    Could take a few hours depending on experience and what tools you have

    30-40 minutes a side with the proper tools.

    I would not put a jack stand on a sloped surface, there’s a chance of sliding.

    It's not a servere slope. I wasn't worried about it . Especially when I let this end sit lower than the ride height of the car . Yes,safety first though. 👍

    I'd recommend a wheel alignment but if the car drives straight and the steering wheel is straight...

    @@themechanic6117 lol did but they want to replace it all suspension but is just pulling a little be i saw when they diagnostic and they didn't testing my shocks they just assume i need to replaced everything to do the alignment.....

    Yeah alignment shops won't do an alignment if work needs to be done to the car
