[037] Cain's Jawbone: the hardest word puzzle ever created?

Ойын-сауық

Only four people have solved Cain's Jawbone in nearly ninety years. In this video I explain the history and current status of Cain's Jawbone, a word puzzle created in 1934 that has only been solved four times. It was created by Torquemada, the inventor of the cryptic crossword and has been republished in the past few years.
If you enjoyed this video, please also check out my video on a really incredible unsolved puzzle from the 1980s, Microcosm: • [100] Microcosm: An in...

I solved it (mostly I hope) and u need a lot of free time to focus on it (did it during summer break, when I was home from uni) and u definitely need Google as ur bestie. Also it helps if you read a lot of classics und know about English history. But honestly it's definitely possible, most people just give up too quickly

I just started working on it. I work in a bookstore and we're running a promo on it to get more people's attention on it. So far I'm the only.one working there that has started on the puzzle, though a couple.of friends are also hoping to start trying to crack it when they get a chance to properly sit down with it. We might start working on it together. So far I'm pretty excited. I can't stand pulling apart books, but I know I'll need to cut the pages out and start re orderi g them to get a better idea of the whole thing, so I bought 2 copies. One for pulling apart and writing in and one to keep in tact for my poor booklover's heart. Also, I want to support the publisher. Kind of wish people in my house had an I Teresa in this sort of puzzle, or books I'm general. I love working on puzzles and mystery boxes and the like with someone. It's fun to compare ideas, clues and amp each other up. Hopefully my friends will decide that we should take this on together.
