Is there any way to make the perforated material create shadows through the holes? right now, the light goes right through the metal panel in a solar study, and my design has these panels as a method of sun-control. It would be nice to see that in solar studies.

Thank you for the amazing tutorial! I have one question though, I followed every step of the tutorial; one side appears the colour I want (white) but the other side, no matter what I do or change, appears really dark gray. I've changed every possible colour into white and I checked the sun too... I hope you can help me out! Thank you!

For some reason, this is not showing as perforated in my 3D view. I"m using Revit 2022 though. Would that be the issue?

In order to see the perforations you would need to be in realistic view. I checked and it shows perforated on my 2022.

How did you select the panel?

You can tap the tab key while hovering over the edge of the panel until it highlights, then left click to select it.
