Thanks Charlie! I'm catching up on watching your tank build. I think I have 4-more to watch. It looks great!

Actually, I'm not sure if it is interchangeable? The two kits look the same, but we'll see. Actually, if it isn't, I don't think I really care. Like I mentioned in my video intro, these die cast kits are not my cup of coffee.

Thanks. Yes...I know CA glue would work but at this time I'm not going to seal them up. Of course, once it's together I might change my mind. Things like that [do] bother me. 😁

I have started using Rust Oleum automotive primer on my diecast cars and it has been great. It adheres great to the metal and dries very fast. I was having trouble with the previous primer peeling off when I needed to do any tape masking for paint jobs and I have not had that problem since I started using the Rust Oleum Automotive primer. It also goes on thin so as not to cover fine details in the diecast. Overall very happy with it. Your mileage may very.

Thanks for the suggestion. I can't use solvent based paint because I can't vent my spray booth to the outside world, and, it's been too cold here in PA to paint outside. I found that using Vallejo primer and paint is Ok. However, when masking, the Tamiya masking tape will pull the primer and paint off, but painters blue tape will not. I'm almost finished with it. I just need to wait for a warm day to put a coat of clear on the body. Vallejo paints dry flat. Like I said in my video, it's a nice kit, but I will not be doing a die cast again anytime in the near or distant future. Thanks again for the tip, I appreciate it.

I’ve built 15 of these die cast models and find them to be very difficult. The actual Hubley kits go together far better than either the Scale Model or Gabriel kits. The hardest part for me is the pre-assembly prior to painting. Every screw is an enormous struggle but has to be done before you have paint on the model.

I haven't found it difficult...yet. The little bit of assembly that I did was not difficult. What I do find annoying is that because I use water based acrylic paint, it looks like it's not going to stick well to the surface, I was adding some detail to the engine yesterday and noticed that just my finger nail made a small paint nick on the transmission. Like I said in my video intro, I won't do another one. I wouldn't even finish this one, but I have a thing about finishing what I start. 😀

Thanks. It's almost finished. Just waiting for a warm day so that I can put a coat of gloss clear on it out side.
