do it all yourself and save money
all you need is the right key for your car with the right transponder chip[ inside
get it cut from a locksmith or hardware store that can cut car keys
then follow these simple steps
different cars may have slightly different steps
you will need to find the right steps according to your car make and model
this is specifically for the Toyota camry 02 to 06 acv36r model
Toyota Camry key programming function
Insert existing master key into ignition (leave in off position)
Depress and release accelerator x5
Depress and release brake pedal x6 then remove master key from ignition
Install new key into ignition leave in off position
Depress and release accelerator x1 - the security light will blink - this confirms function
Wait 60 seconds. The security light will stop flashing - indicating copy complete
Finished - if further keys need to be programmed repeat steps 4 - 6
Complete- wait at least 60 seconds before testing keys
For (Avalon)
All doors closed no key in ignition
Wait 60 seconds before doing anything
Insert existing master key into ignition, turn to on position
Turn key to off position and remove
Insert new key to be programmed and turn to on position
Turn to off position and remove key (if more keys need to be added repeat steps 5 and 6
Open and close door

Hi Mikeyz, its a happy kiwi from across the ditch as i come across your video and you are luckly as you have a master and i have nothing as i was on my last key [out of three] and what i know now i would of got spares while i had keys to cut from , i got quoted if transponder $220.000 or chip $380.00 and talking about removing ignition switch. [ is so he has something to cut key from ?? ] why cant they cut key from drivers door lock ?? you are saying your key is a transponder chip key so dont know why given two prices , nmy car is a ACR36 too but is a NEW ZEALAND NEW, if that makes sense,, so at less i am armed to the teeth with all of your valveable information you have given so now my headache is a little better. I am presuming my camry has a chip [its got a security light like yours] so i will confirm with Toyota so thanks for your video clip as will make my journey hopefully less painful,

damn so sorry to hear that, wen i first went to Toyota they told me only they could do it , so dont always believe what they say , they stressed that no one else could do it , and they wanted 300 almost i think, cant remember exactly , but then i found a seller of keys who actually told me u could do it this way, now your key must have a chip in it or else it wont start the car , having said that, do u have any keys at all?? if not its abit different, although anything can be done with the right person and tools, hope u get iot sorted mate, its a pain when u lose all keys

Thanks for your reply mikeyz, rang Toyota and they don't get involved with key issues, as he said to carry on with the locks smith I inquired with.they didn't even want to sell me a blank key with chip. But they did mention that my model has a recall on it so when up and running I have to make a appointment as they have to make two repairs. One with light dimmer fault and a petrol problem inside gas tank as for safety reasons apparently but took three phone calls for them to tell me that so have you heard anything like that in Australia. Apparently I have to take the drivers door lock out and the ECU behind the glove box and will cost between 150.00 to 180.00 if I take in so better than 380.00 if they come to me. But your information got me pre -warned so thanks anyway and I will give you a update when car going after I break into tomorrow as tried thru drivers door but since battery so flat I couldn't use centralocking so nothing is in my favour and my inner door handle drives is broken as well so using a plastic tie for now as can't find one second hand so have go thui. Back door today when daylight is here so never again will I lose key. Check if any recall on your Camry as be interesting.take care and thanks
