Aint that the truth. I have lived in the Martinsburg / Hagerstown Area for the majority of my life. So many deaths on I 81 just from the VA line to PA line which isnt really that far on 81. Dont knwo what it is about it, but just is treacherous. Was so much worse when they were still doing the construction for years adding the new lane.

Remember those days, shoveling driveway before I went to Work! Gets real old!

I can't think of anything I need to do bad enough to get out in weather like this...

Me too. I went to Cracker Barrel and spent over an hour just sitting there watching the snow and the fire place. Had some delicious breakfast. Went back to there later on before it stopped snowing and turned to rain and had afternoon lunch :D

God bless the plow drivers trying to keep the roads open. As a Former OTR trucker, I have been stuck up in this region many times don't miss the mess. Be safe everyone and Slow down.

if you are already parked at a truck stop or a safe parking area, use your common sense... don't put that truck in gear.. stay safe out there..

Hagerstown. back in the 60's and early 70's have fond memories of stopping at the old Tortuga Inn restaurant for lunch with my parents and brothers while on vacation traveling from Uniontown PA to Northampton PA on then US 40 to visit my mother's parents!! we used to make sugar water with the sugar packets. I always got a cheeseburger and a chocolate milkshake. boy, those were the days!!

Gosh! I'm only a couple of hours south of Hagerstown in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia close to I-81, and I got freezing rain but no snow. Amazing how localized the storm was.

Some do; some don't. I found Chicagoians definitely forget how to drive - winter or summer. They think they are in a Nascar race. However, when I lived in Wisconsin and especially in Rochester, NY, the drivers drove slowly and carefully.

I'm hunkered down and have no intention of going anywhere in the near future.

Remember, you can still grow food when it gets warmer. If it gets colder, not so much...

I drove from Boston to Roanoke today on I-84/81… passed through Hagerstown just after 5 PM. Pennsylvania was a disaster. There was a semi truck just ahead of me that fishtailed and slammed right into a guardrail, blocking both lanes. Luckily he was able to move out of the way before too much traffic formed and another accident could have easily happened. Tough conditions out there today for sure.

I love it and miss driving in that fluffy white stuff. I'm retirerd but can't forget the many times I drove in WHITE-OUTS. This is play time for me. WEEEEEEE!

Cant wait to get off. He who dares wins!

I heard about that accident while watching storm chaser brandon out on I-70 he was telling people he was going to I-81 then north saw a T&T accident on I-70 just east of Hancock

Yep...needed to go out past Hancock into Allegany County where we are. Seven inches and the roads were pretty crummy!

Moved from Midwest to Florida a few years ago. Best decision ever made.

It was sunny 68F here along the Gulf Coast near Pensacola. Humidity was 52% and a nice breeze.

Why are there always so many accidents out there? It seems like there are massive pileups when there isn't even a lot of snow. I live in Minnesota and a big east coast snowfall is an average Tuesday for us. They need to learn from the folks in Buffalo.

Thanks for the videos. I live right here in Hagerstown. I went to Cracker Barrel to sit and watch the Fire Place and watch the snow. It was so beautiful. In the videos there was one clip around 4:14 The trees, power lines, the road. It looked so beautiful that I wanted to just paint it.

If that was something else, I think it would put a dent in the ceiling when his head head it from blasting off :D But ya, I am pretty sure that was the wiper blades.
