Thank you for being you saving the history in our auto industry is a must however the use of the day don’t want to. They don’t seem to want to restore and keep our historical motor vehicles. That is a great worry. Regards Alan from down under automotive electrician.

It’s a wonderful car! The engine looks like a Time Machine with copper and those round air filters. And yet just 25 years after that they opened the first motorway the M1, extraordinary.

They still turn up ! -a great story and best wishes with the restoration , it looks remarkably sound .A dear late friend had a 1934 3 litre with a similar style tourer body but fabric covered. He also owned a 1933 2 litre .

Hello from France ! Thank you for this (international :)) video; It's a very beautiful car with a great story, I'm going to subscribe to see what happens next. Just in case: the American "engine restart" specialists put a mixture of automatic transmission oil, with a little acetone, through the spark plug hole. After a week or two, many engines are unblocked using this method.

Around the same time in the 60's I was helping my Dad get a 1934 LM45 out of a barn/garage, so all the best on getting this one back on the road...

Goodness they must have come out the factory about the same time. I gather Lagonda was only producing the 3L in ones and twos by 1934 because they were concentrating on the 45 in the first half of 34. Small world!

Hi there you are my very first commenter. Thank you! To answer your question the car is British. Sounds as though it should be Italian but in fact the cars were built in Staines on the outskirts of London!

@@Reedys_Digest As any schoolboy from the 1940's or 1950's would be able to tell you off the tip off his tongue , the name Lagonda was taken from Lake Lagonda in the Springfield ,Ohio ,area of the USA. Wilbur Gunn a native of that region came to Britain before the turn of the century and became caught up in the craze of the newfangled automobile : I believe he built motorcycles and cycle cars before his pukka cars of the 1920's brought fame to the name : The rest is history ..until David Brown of Aston Martin bought the failing company ,post war :

Hi there, thank you. Pleased to say my Dad is still with us. He is frail but has been getting steadily stronger ever since we started work on the car. He is passionately interested in everything we are doing and it’s doing him the world of good! Hope to have another video out in the next 10 days or so.
