Spring can wear any warm or neutral shade of pink in my opinion (I’m not certified but I’ve been studying this at home for 3 years). Except a nude/beige pink, dusty rose, mauve pink, basically any with brown tones. Pink is the spring power color so we can play around with it a lot!!

To be fair the pink she’s wearing appears to be a bright spring pink so it’s still apart of the spring palette. I think most people can get away with palettes that are still in their season.

that pink is one found in springs too. Especially bright and true spring. Winter can pull that off too, but the barbie pink that the professional excluded would be almost exclusive to winter (desaturate it, and a summer might pull it off). This bright pink pulls more neutral/warm, so it's very much a spring tone.

i think where the 200$ one went wrong is that she probably mistook your warm overtone as a warm undertone. you look good in both but the winter one definitely suits you better (plus barbie pink is in it😉)

I would have serious doubts about a colour analysis where it’s suggested you dye your natural hair colour to make it suit your season. Your natural hair will always suit you even if you prefer a different shade.

In the black and white filter, it says to match your hair tone too, so there’s no way you’d be a light medium. The deep winter matches you the best and makes you look brightest.

I have worked in this field. Since your hair is dark , the whites of your eyes are very white, and eye color deep, there's no way you are a light Spring and I certainly do not feel you are soft. You do need medium to deep colors to look your best . Whether you are warm or cool , I am not certain. I do see bright though.

So many people discount the contrast. The “lighter” season (summer and spring) are low contrast seasons. So for people who have dark hair and lighter skin I feel like it’s very uncommon for them to end up in the lighter seasons!

Winter and spring are bright and high contrast. Springs can have dark hair (and dark skin). Summer and autumn are soft and muted, so lower contrast.

If I am spending 200 dollars on a colour analysis session, I want the person to be a professionally trained in personal color analysis. Not be trained by your boss who took one class on it.

8:15 that's actually called reflection lighting! its also why a lot of the time shadows tend to have hints of blue in them because its just reflecting the sky

That's what you see over the phone? 😂 It's tricky because every phone has a built in filter which either is warmer or cooler. That is probably also a reason why the 20 bucks analysis did not work.

I love the Winter colors for you. I would think that is also my color palette but I will have to try and figure it out!

I can't say for sure if you're warm or cool (though you look cool to me), but you're definitely not light! Light Spring means the lightness of everything (hair, skin, eyes) is the dominant characteristic. Think fair skin, blonde hair, blue eyes. If you're truly a spring, you could only be a Bright Spring with dark hair and eyes. That's because the dominant characteristic is brightness, which can be seen with any hair or eye color. I don't think warmth is your main characteristic, so that would rule out Warm Spring and Warm Autumn. You're more bright than soft, so definitely not Soft Autumn. That leaves Dark Autumn (Dark & Warm) and Bright Spring (Bright & Warm). Now, if you're actually cool toned, and we keep the possibility of Dark or Bright, it would make you a Winter. Ask yourself if you'd rather wear pink or orange? Navy or brown? Most people gravitate toward the colors they look best in, and you look great in pink!

Initially I thought she would be a bright winter or spring, due to her hair color. However her skin is neutral or olive toned, which I think can be tricky. The winter is still complimentary to springs, but her best colors still fall under the warmer side. And soft spring I think is a good balance for the cooler and warmer tones. I think the consultant was correct as she did the process. But of course wear what you love! The bright pink still suits her because it matches her personality, vibrant!

Lightness isn't necessarily defined by your skin, eyes and hair colour. People of all skin tones can be identified as a light colour season. If your skin is lighter than your hair, it means it's light.

I don’t comment on these videos but as I am obsessed with colour analysis videos, I wanted to jump in! In all the content I have watched, I have NEVER seen anyone with such intense deep features and high contrast get a light spring analysis. I honestly think you didn’t get the right result from that $200 analysis. If you watch from content from people like Carol Brailey, you’ll quickly see that!

hmm light spring isn't correct, in order to be light spring you have to have light features. i suggest you get analyzed by the 2 ladies from italy, their channel's name is color analysis studio. i feel like the closest one was the 20 dollar analysis because if you can rock black then you're a winter

Agreed. They have the best colour analysis method I've seen. Soft spring makes no sense. Springs are bright, light, and warm. Soft/muted is not a chromatic feature for springs.

All I'ma say is that you look good in black and it doesnt overwhelm you, black is strictly a winter color

Correct me if im wrong, but Ive looked into threads on colour analysis on people of colour and read its not totally out of the question for someone to have a lighter season but naturally darker hair, I can't remember the exact reason, but I believe it has to do with the contrast on your face if that makes sense. Like the overall contrast on your face and how many shadows are cast play a larger part of the overall contrast compared to the hair colour to skin colour contrast? That being said hair colour/undertone can be a big help so idk

@@kitygwyn yes someone with darker features can be a lighter season like spring or summer, BUT if we’re talking about contrast, Tiffy does not have low contrast, she has medium-light skin and very dark hair and eyes, which by definition is high contrast, and she was labeled a light spring. High contrast people can’t be a “light” sub-season (light spring, light summer) because light is light, it’s very low contrast. Someone with higher contrast like Tiffy needs deeper colors than that to mimic and continue her natural contrast. Light colors will just blend into her skin and wash her out. But we don’t even have to take my word on what the rules are, you can just see in her analysis that those light pastels do NOT look better, and in my opinion she’s not warm either, warm tones make her look a little sick I think. But that Barbie pink (which I’d say is a winter pink) does look good on her from what I see. She can handle saturation and depth, MUCH better than light warm colors. And I think a lot of people see that in the comments. Hope that helps explain what we’re thinking better.

Yeah yeah, everyone says this. We get it. But color is relative, colors influence other colors and as such, your clothing will affect what color your skin will appear as to other people's eyes. I love pink, it's my favorite color. Unfortunately, pink colors just don't go with my skin color. They make me look desaturated and dusty pinks make me look naked. I love to wear them but that doesnt erase the fact that they just look shit on me. It's simple color theory, some colors just look better together

I've always wanted to get this done

I only finished the first analysis so far, but the way she created your individual palette was actually more tailored and less restricted, because it contained elements of both winter and summer palettes. Both palettes are cool, but winter is dark and summer is soft. Ive actually wondered about this many times, because the labelling of the sub seasons in the 16 types doesn't allow for certain combos (dark, cool, soft as above; light, cool and bright; dark, warm and bright; or light, warm and soft).

Remember even if it washes you out sometimes that style is a choice. Like for grungey looks it's perfect! You can definitely match it with aesthetic

You actually look amazing in barbie pink!! And salmon pink. As much as skintone and hair makes a difference, I really think personality can really make or break the colors you wear!

I tried to figure it out on my own and then I tried via Chat GPT (using a color picker on my phone). I think the AI was more accurate but also, it definitely further cemented that this isn’t an exact science. It’s just fun and maybe helps you expand your wardrobe or feel better about pieces you already have. Also, it validates that you do in fact look shitty in that one color you think you look shitty in.

From the first 0$ i would say you're a winter, after watching the entire video i would say youre definitely a winter either deep or bright

Your primary feature is your depth. Your hair and eyes are dark, and your skin is light which gives you a higher contrast. I would lean towards deep winter with deep autumn being your secondary season. Deep subseasons tend to not lean overly warm or cool.

I would say winter with your contrast, although as a winter you can probably wear some of the less warm deep autumn colors because they share your depth of coloring. You’re definitely not a summer with your contrast or a spring.

I have very dark hair and I look super pale and sickly with it. Having some warm brown or blonde highlights makes me look so much healthier and bronzier. However, I also have very curly hair and whenever I lighten it, it just gets so damaged, thin and brittle,I can’t stand it 😢

Honestly, from what I can see, your skin tone is neutral, which is why so many suited you and there wasn’t one clear answer that stood out. I have neutral undertone too and these colour analysis things are hard when there’s only ever warm and cool. It’s said that neutral people can suit just about anything!
