@@sykel123 im on macos, i was actually able to run pcvr with bootcamp but i was running into a lot of bugs and now bootcamp wont even work anymore 😭😭

vtol vr is such a nice game, glad to see more people picking it up

I'm glad this game is picking back up again, I created a "top gun" type "school" where I teach people a lot of the things I learned from talking to IRL military pilots and also things I learned from civilian flying myself. This community offers a wide range of different gamemodes and is usually very welcoming (minus the little kids that scream and think they are jesus). I hope you enjoy the game as much as I do

Really glad to see the game blowing up. Got it a couple of months ago and have just been playing it non-stop.

Lot of youtubers will play a game and get bored before getting good. Nice to see you guys improve so much! Tips: 1. PIP on the Targetting Pod shows where your current weapon will land. So really good with hydras and precise CCIP bombing 2. Dont use the radar screen on the F45, use the TSD instead. It does the exact same thing but with a bigger view and better datalink. It's better it every way basically (just make sure to actually turn on the radar, this one still gets me sometimes) 3. You can make ir missiles's seeker move with your head in the equip menu. Helps tremendously 4: After all your engines have started. Switch off your APU to save fuel, as it is only needed when starting the aircraft 5: If you choose "head" on the targetting pod, it moves with your head. Then click in with stick to lock it again 6: Only heavy bombs can take out bunkers, such as the gbu-39

Wow just wow. I have played VTOL VR for a faire share amount of time and also made some vids about it but damn was this video good. VTOL is such a good game, accessible with a flavour of sim. Subbed too.

This was one of my first flight games I've ever bought for VR and still one of the best pure flying games in VR.

I'm surprised to not see any dcs replies

The one thing i've learned from dcs was the flare thing haha thinking it doesn't work, but if you're in after burner gotta think that's a way more enticing heat signature than a lil flare. Still not used to all that but learning experience haha

In the stealth you can use the TSD to GPS-S then GPS-A on the EOTS if you didn't already know

You got me sold on the game, just bought it and tried it, it's amazing even if I cant do a carrier landing to save my life

I just bought a quest 2 before seeing this vid. I was already convinced after watching some operatordrewski vids over the last few years but after seeing this I am super excited for it turn up.

Got 64 flight hours and I recommend reading official-released-to-public documents on missile evasion. If you dont want to, use mountains and whatnot to take cover from missiles. If a missile is close to either your front or rear do the "Split S" manouver. If its to your left or right notch it (dive down while only letting the missile see your side, ideally this will make it miss or splash into the ground infront of you) I'm not the best but if you're new and need help, lmk.

I remember that dynamic coop campaign, was a fun 1!

When the altitude went negative I think that's because the radar mode for the altitude can malfunction and display the wrong number.

Best VR-Game!

VTOL VR is a great game, so is Project Wingman for a more arcadey game. Myself and my buddies use it as a nice change up when we tire of only flying in DCS (ultra realistic)

Community is super active, lots of multiplayer lobbies were up whenever we were doing something like that. SmoothCam can be found in the S-cam button while you’re in your plane. You know how you start and you’ve got all the different choice for what to put on your screen? S-cam can be found there.

@@TheNEPARiders I don't think I understand the question, if you're talking about your physical window on your monitor than you just click the box on the top right of the window, or CTRL + F sometimes works depending on the application. S-Cam takes over your whole screen that's capturing your game, I don't believe there's a way that it can't be fullscreen.

@@westopoli so is smoothcam strictly for spectating? i may have misunderstood you in the video. i was under the impression that the setting made your gameplay have higher fov and resolution in headset too.

Real: Flares wont work if you have after burner on, the missile will follow the hottest thing, which is your after burner :) (Dont fire missile if you're facing the sun). Missile's are heat seeking well Majority of them are (i think). So i dont know if that applies to the game

When using flares against IR/ heat seakers, try turning off your throtle

8:55 once you open S-Cam on your screen, you click the green start to activate it, and you can change the view with the “mode” button.

Also. All altitude is based off water level so the negative is because your under the water level. A valley.

Flares do things against heat seekers and chaff is for radar seekers

Love the vid(as much as I was able to watch) but could you balance the audio some more for your next vids? I don't wanna be straining to hear you one sentence then deafened by you screaming the next one. I get that your being loud, I don't need to hear the volume of you being loud. yea balancing audio is something I'm very new to, I put some real effort into it in the VTOL video I did after this one, Dynamic liberation speedrun, and I'd be interested to hear if you think it's any better. Edit: Thanks for the feedback!

not exactly, there's only one DLC aircraft of the 4 available in the game, and it's only $15

I try to play vtol, but my controller have stick drift so the radar, TGP, navigation, and tilted engines are very difficult for me.
