@dbugman1
22 күн бұрын
Most of that whine comes from the gear drive setup for the camshaft. It does away with the timing chain and the cam and crank gear are connected via a idler gear on both sides of the cam and crank gear. It is much easier and more precise when changing the timing instead of having to fool with a chain and offset cam gear but the blower guys like them because they make the blower sound even louder. I had a 35ft Fountain with 2 mercury racing 525 NA motors in it and when we freshener the motors up I put gear drives in and everybody thought that we put blowers on it I kept that secret the whole summer lol

@dbugman1

It is staggering how hard that accelerates when he goes deep on the throttle. The fact that he was full throttle WELL after he was going at least 60 mph. Tells you what kind of power that thing has

Oh blessed be those SUPERCHARGERS just listen to them sing!!!!! YES PLEASE!!!!!!

Bro I went 80 mph on a boat and it was one of the scariest experiences I’ve ever very been through. I’m a down range combat vet and have 18 years in at the fire department if that says anything.

Yo, I agree. Water craft, snowmobiles, dirt bikes, and four wheelers all scare the shit out of me. All feel so out of control when going really fast. I think that’s why people like fast boats. You’re riding that line with death and it’s an exhilarating feeling you can’t find in too many places

I do agree. Anything over 70ish get sketchy on water. When I was younger my cousins had a 19' hydro stream that did 99 mph. It had a foot petal throttle and everything. I tried to drive it when I was about 16 years old and could only do about 73-75 in it. It was a crazy boat.

I like the little window in the center of the windshield!! You would be surprised at how much wind that little window deflects from the driver at speeds excess of 70mph!!!cool af if ya ask me!!
Growing up my dad had a 25’ Baja with a 502 Mag. The thing would do 75-80 on moderate chop and it felt like the most violent vehicular experience of my life. This make me wanna feel it again!

Yeah, like Paddle said the large cats hit 200+ easily. Hell Simmons cats, a fishing boat hit somewhere between 100-120 (can’t remember exactly) on a little 23’ or 25’, with a single 450, which is crazy.

Smartest thing ever to have the driver on the left side so he can throttle right handed. . Also better for poker runs so you can have a throttle man . The throttles should always be in the middle of the boat for performance and safety reasons.
