UPDATE: it's been brought to my attention that apparently Mack's channel actually did receive a shoutout from Airrack. Thanks for pointing that out, apologies for missing this in my research. So, does that mean this video is invalid? REGARDLESS, I still believe Mack made an absolute killer of a video, and even if it was created by some random person and didn't get a shoutout, it believe would have blown up just the same. The only difference would have been that he may have gotten less subscribers (i.e. lower subscribe rate) because he wouldn't have had any pre-built trust. Either way, I hope you learn something from this video that can help you grow your channel!

Your video remains insightful and valuable. However, I must admit, the revelation towards the end about assistance from professional KZreadrs did shift my perspective. All throughout, I was marveling at how a small creator managed to achieve such feats. It might have been beneficial to address this earlier to set context. True, but I didn't see him get any outside help from them with this video in terms of promotion or shoutouts. The growth was organic due to it being an extremely good video, as you mentioned. I'd be willing to bet the video still would have blown up even if Mack was a nobody just due to how good it was.

I don't know mack but I found this guy on youtube a week ago who went from 100 subs over 5k subs in 3 weeks over 1 single video that blew up and it was crazy to me sometimes you just make a great video and the algorithm picks it up kinda made me lose motivation as I've been going at it nearly 3 years. But I then I let it motivate me it's not a race keep getting better and working on your videos. And you will get where you want to be at your own pace.

OK these comments are pissing me off, sure, mack got a shoutout because he works with airrack, but he also edits for him and manages airracks editing team. Like he still put in tons of work for that shoutout aswell as putting so much work into producing the video, like if he didnt make a video with great editing, storytelling, and everything mentioned here he wouldn't have gained those subscribers, he got some of the 300k from the shoutout, sure, but he also produced a video that is made perfect for the algorithm, because of that once he posted the video and some of airracks subscribers saw it and commented and interacted it pushed it into the algorithm which got it up from like 50k views and 12k subs (its an example i dont know the actual numbers) to 2.4 million views and 300k subs. but ever comment is framing it as if he would not have gotten here without the shoutout from airrack or if every single sub came from airracks video, thats bullshit, he still put so much time and effort into this video, you guys are framing it as if you would also be there if you got a shoutout from airrack, but not with shitty editing and shitty storytelling or no storytelling at all.

Great channel you have here What i habe found so far is for the people talking about the 10m subscriber friend its not always the case guys I've had my channel 10 days (11 now it's past midnight) and I've got almost 12k views you just need decent content popular songs on shorts and upload new interesting content as much as you can. Don't get me wrong I work 10 hour days and wake up on days at 5am to get content made and here I am at 2am on other days again editing content. Determination blood sweat and tears. But yeah a 10m sub friend would help me I suppose haha

The thing is making "Extreme" videos conflicts with many things for small budget youtubers. We all have daily lives and important tasks therefor we cant really spend 100 hours making minecrafts biggest cyberpunk replica world. Also editing these videos if done aloen could takes weeks which conflics with one big aspect on growin channels, upload consistency

Dude, you are not completely right. I think Airrack or someone else gave him a huge shout out. It was a video where popular youtubers dated an AI robot. The robot girl that was with many celebrities. And in the end of the video I think AIrrack gave a shout out to Mack for this particular video. And both videos are robots/ai related. And I think Mack was his editor or something. Where I am getting at is that I think there is a lot more going on than what you know about this video.

He got promoted by airrack because he edits for him, and he didn't invest his parents' money as far as im aware since he edits for a large youtuber he's almost definitely getting payed to edit for airrack even though they're friends.

I think he mainly got 300k Subscribers from one video because he works with Airrack and since you can get the same subscribers by having someone big (like Airrack) Subscribe to you. I think thats how he got the easy jumpstart.

I like your channel but this is absolutely useless advice. Mack was already well-known for working with Airrack who has over 10 million subscribers and his channel also got a shoutout from Airrack in one of his video. That's what got him so many views and subscribers. Yes, the video was good, but if it was some other new youtuber posting it who is not known by anyone, then there was absolutely no "explainable" way for him to get even 10k views. If it got more than that, it would just be dumb luck.

Yes there is, plenty of times i have seen peoples first videos in my recommended and the only reason they dont get more views and stuff is because the video has no storytelling or no good editing, all it takes is experience. sure, airrack helped by shouting him out and getting him some subs and views but he really got the views and subs because hes a good editor and storyteller. Clearly you wouldn't know considering you make videos about javascript in 2 minutes, thats a very niche topic isn't it? explains why it doesnt get views.

@@PaulieHD This is just a channel I made a while ago but lost interest in it, but I have been doing KZread for over 5 years with 3-4 channels. One of them has over 100 videos that I absolutely poured my heart and soul into. Hours put into each video and some of them had really good retention rates but still didn't do well. Also, let me tell you my experience- one of my shorts has 25 seconds average view duration with the short being 45 seconds long Another short had 35 seconds average view duration with the short being 50 seconds long. yet, the first one got 10k views over a period of a few months and the second one stopped at 1k views. How do you explain that? It's just a misconception that you could actually do well here with just your skills. If anyone thinks that, then either they haven't done KZread long enough to be able to think beyond what "KZread Gurus" tell them or they have just gotten too lucky on KZread to be able to accept that it was mostly just their luck. Also, I noticed that your videos aren't particularly "niche", why haven't you been getting views then?
