I remember back in the day when Josh and I would race all the time. Me in my supercharged 2 valve Mustang GT vs his 04 Cobra supercharged convertible.Both cars only ran high 11's. Now you own the world's fastest quarter mile drag radial car. Congratulations to you and your team

Definitely my favorite Mustang of all time. To have that car running the way it does on drag radials and no bars is amazing.

It could maybe be driven from the sides. Or maybe just make the wheels extremely large but not actually connected in the middle and have an diff back there. If it was worth it, I’m sure it would have been done already tho lol. Cars guys are extremely creative.

TheMoezilla because it’s a totally different animal... that’s like comparing apples to oranges... one top fuel and funny drag cars are complete rebuilt from the ground up. This is a body of a production car with a powerful engine. I know top fuel cars make more than 10,000hp. Which is crazy. But cmon. Really? I’m like comparing it to the alpha omega gtr that’s like half a million to build. A engine like that this fox has is probably around 80k. Rest is probably 30k at most with all the tuning and shit.

Elliot C Rolling resistance and weight. They are (roughly) about as small as they can be to support the front end weight and steer. They don't need to support the side loading that turning at high speed would require. Only the (sometimes) large corrections that driving a very high hp car down the track entails.

Bricklinsv1970 Well a TF car in 1987 was already around 5 flat in the 1/4. This Mustang just ran 3.90 1/8 which is roughly 6.00 in the 1/4. TF was running 6.00 around 1975. So say 40 years ago they were about the same speed.
