This is such a great movie!!! Thank you for getting it here. I was sad to.find out that when I watched it that Martin Mull had passed.the same night. The song actually came up in my feed and it made me pull up the movie. Great cast!

This movie was silly even in 1978 but at least they had the good sense to let Linda Ronstadt sing "Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me". Written by the great Warren Zevon. That's Waddy Watchel backing up Linda on lead guitar in the performance.

51:00 GOOD LORD!! Watching Linda Ronstadt performing Live as He!! in this movie just NAILED ME TO THE WALL! 1. She makes me miss every woman that ever loved me! Even the horrible, nasty witches of the North! Plus the ones that almost were but because I was on the road touring to a new town or city every week just missed the3 mark!! God Women are MAGICAL! 2. ROCK N ROLL IS A VICIOUS GAME!! Yea, Mama it totally IS!! It will rock you and move you right out of your chair and onto the ceiling!! Punching holes in walls and jumping around a dance floor like an Orangutan!! Dreaming of Six Shooters and Wild West horses riding full gallop into the open trails of the unknown!! YEE HAA!! MAN I love it LOUD!! 3. Guitars! I play for a LIFE! Not just a Living but for my LIFE!! Turn it to 11 and let the Star Spangled Banner YET WAVE!! Elvis felt it and let there BE ROCK!! 4. I love LINDA. I always have! I love her ALWAYS n' forever no matter what! Even at 90 years old! (I think she passed away just recently but I could be wrong. I'll check into it). SHe is the Princess of ROCK N ROLL BABY!! SO GOOD!!! OH! My Heart Aches! Just like her song!

Saw this at my local theater, where I saw Jaws, Star Wars, etc. The 70s were golden age of radio, when we had it all on a platter, with gravy on the side. The summers lasted forever, but were still too short. Not as short as the skirts and the terry towel panties that pranced around my school. Those girls were so cool, and the dudes all ran hotter than a vw beatle in August. We had our whole lives ahead of us, snd we were used to the best. We didn't know that the wave had already crested for us. We had no warning, and wouldn't have understood if we had. Now it's July 30, the sun is still shining, it's 30 degrees hot, and I'm in the time machine, flyin' back to 1978, the summer of grade 7, when everything changed, and the storm clouds came creeping over the horizon...

excellent theme song but so many things wrong with this film like the short period of time when country pop rock was considered bleeding edge rock music, but especially occupying a radio station and not expecting a SWAT team to kill you all.

I was 7 when this came out . I don’t remember the movie , but “life” seemed simpler ( not that I was some wise sage at 7) . Seems like up until the mid 90’s this way of life was out the door . It’s 2024 , sure there’s a trade off , but as a society, we’ve been backed into the corner by a very small group of people who hold all the cards and have duped the collective conscious into believing that nothing’s wrong and not to question it. I think it’s time for a revolution

I grew up in the 1970s on the tail end, and the music of that era is what I listen to in 2024. The message of FM holds true today when corporate types weasel their way into the radio stations only caring about money than about the music.

First movie soundtrack album I ever bought (it wasn't a thing yet, soundtracks) because it was the only way to get the Steely Dan song FM. It wasn't on any of their albums for years.
