  I have an MFC-J5520DW with an 11x17 paper feeder in the back attached to the scanner and I cannot figure out how to remove the scanner. Do I remove the tray? I can't find any videos on how to do that. Your help would be very much appreciated!

  Just watched the video as I have the same issue. In the video you said that if the green slider is in the wrong place it will cause the error. When you remove the magenta drum and toner, the green slider is over the the right instead of the left. That would cause the error in this case?

  @@ianjames1275 congratulations you will make a very good printer technician as you have an eye for detail. In order to make a video about a particular common problem you need to simulate the problem when all you have at hand is perfectly working printers.

  ich habe den drucker immer mit den trick angemacht und dan ist er nach 6 monaten ganz ausgegangen,dan tauschte ich den kondensator und es ging immer noch nicht, dan fand ich das die sicherung im netzteil ausgefallen ist ,nach den tausch ist die wider durchgebrant ,was ist da an den netzteil defekt gruß aus deutschland I always turned on the printer using the trick and then after 6 months it went out completely, then I replaced the capacitor and it still didn't work, then I found that the fuse in the power supply had failed, after the replacement it burned out again, What is wrong with the power supply? greetings from Germany

  @@marijanmarijan1073 as explained in the video you have let it go too long. The first sign that the capacitor is starting to leak is the fact that you cannot turn it on properly simply by pushing the power button. If you had replaced the supercapacitor when your printer first started developing this problem you wouldn't be in the position you're currently in. The failed leaking supercapacitor has damaged the motherboard and in turn that is then damaged your power supply. Your lack of attention to the problem means you now need to get a new printer or find someone who can supply you a power supply and a main board.

  Great video Terry... I have a slightly different problem on an L3750CDW, it displays Print Unable 05, I suspect after the customer had a fuser wrap around paper jam. New fuser unit fitted & I've stripped down to inspect the LVPS. All fuses test ok, but the ZD16 is short circuit. Have you had this fault & if so, are there any other components to change. A spec of the ZD16 would also be appreciated. TIA

  Thanks for the video. I will attempt this repair on my HL-L3270cdw. My wife tried to print something and upon wakening the printer a loud pop occurred, so I would assume I can see the broken component. We also printed maybe 1200 pages on it so far.

  Wow, it never occured to me, that the chip on those cartridges can fail. Even though I have different Brother Printer (much smaller model) the Error was the same. Your solution worked perfectly and I didn't even have to remove any screws, because the chip is just clipped in and you simply have to bend a small plastic nook. Thanks a lot!
