GRINNER METAL

GRINNER METAL

Metal guitar based merriment in the form of covers, guitar modifications, music video reactions and generally promoting my band, Now Disconnect! All done at Bentham Studio in the UK. I am no shredder or technical theory master, just having fun with what skills I have. Still learning all the time. My music is now available as “Grinner Covers” on these platforms; Amazon, Anghami, Apple Music, MediaNet, Deezer, Instagram/Facebook, Google Play/KZread, iHeartRadio, ClaroMusica, iTunes, KKBox, Napster, NetEase (beta), Pandora, Saavn, Spotify, Tidal, TikTok...

    Thank you for the review of our video and song. We very much appreciate it. Thanks for digging our guitars and tone. I’m playing a 1998 Steve Vai Universe 7 string. Yegor is playing a Solar 7 string. I use a Mesa boogie dual rectifier. Yegor uses and PRS Arcon. We use it live and on the recording for this album. My solos were done with a Friedman JJ 100W head. Stay metal🤘🏻☠️🤘🏻

    I noticed there was no heavy metal songs after 86. megadeath Pantera and the like are not metal. They are just average punk bads jumping on the metal bandwagon. They don't even sound like metal bands. It's sad all this crap jumped on and destroyed real metal with their fake as fxxk metal.

  • @Astaroh
    @Astaroh9 күн бұрын

    Megadeth and Pantera are not metal? Bruh what are you listening to, Megadeth is very obviously thrash metal, especially when hearing the likes of songs from Rust in Peace, also Pantera is obviously groove metal when hearing the likes of songs from either Cowboys from Hell or Vulgar Display of Power, sure a lot of bands in here aren't metal, but a lot are and let me list them. Motorhead are speed metal, Judas priest are heavy metal, wasp are heavy metal too, Anthrax, Megadeth, Metallica and Slayer are considered "The big 4" of american thrash metal for a reason. Helloween and Hammerfall are power metal, Pantera are groove metal, Iron maiden are heavy metal, Sepultura are Death/Thrash metal, stuff like Korn and Slipknot are debatable, a lot of people don't consider nu metal "real metal", Rammstein is debatable, some people consider them industrial metal, some don't, Lamb of god are very similar to Pantera, thus why they are also Groove metal, Nightwish is debatable, they are considered symphonic metal by a lot of people but some consider them rock, Arch enemy are undoubtedly melo death, Gojira are some mix of Death metal with prog and groove, Architects are metalcore ( even though a lot of people like myself dislike metalcore, that is still metal ). Sure, the rest is not metal, and this list kind of sucks, but at least half of the bands are metal, maybe get yourself a bit cultured about metal before posting such comments.

    @@sjorsmaurix2640 I don't even think this guy/girl is a purist, at least a purist knows one genre extremely well, but this person doesn't consider Iron Maiden metal , so doesn't know heavy metal, doesn't consider Pantera metal, so probably doesn't know much Groove, doesn't consider Megadeth metal, so probably doesn't know thrash, doesn't consider Motorhead metal, so doesn't know speed metal, doesn't consider Arch Enemy/Gojira/Sepultura metal, so probably doesn't know death metal, doesn't consider Architechts metal, so probably doesn't know metalcore, doesn't consider Helloween metal so probably doesn't know power metal, doesn't consider Nightwish metal so probably doesn't know symphonic metal, doesn't consider Slipknot metal [ which can be debatable ] so doesn't know Nu metal.....then what does he/she know? The only metal genres that I can think left of that are not on this list either is Black metal, Folk metal, Doom/Stoner metal or any other type of Core ( like Deathcore or Grindcore ) ..... I somehow doubt a Doom/Stoner or Folk fan might be such an elitist, thus he/she might be one of the cringe black metal fans ( Yes, even if black metal is my favourite genre alongside thrash and death, I still think a lot of black metal fans are cringe elitists that are uncultured about other genres ).

    Considering metal was started by Judas Priest and Black Sabbath you could argue no band after 1978 sounds like metal The correct answer is it evolved and branched out

    I have to ask, what do you consider to be metal? If the likes of Megadeth and Pantera aren’t? This is why I for the most part ignore the sub-genre debates and labels. It’s all metal of different flavours. A bit like ice cream.

    Have you heard their other singles yet? If not, you should definitely give those a listen ("In Stitches" and "Exhausted") I can't wait for the album to come out. The other guitarist is Mike Orlando who does a ton of other stuff - including a project with Corey Glover called Sonic Universe. They just released an album a few weeks ago. "It Is What It Is" is a great single if you want to check that one out.

    Great song, great video, great reaction!! The title of album Yesterwynde is actually a non exiting word that Troy came up with. Yesterwynde is the opening track on new album, i belive its only like a intro, its a little over 2 min long, #2 on album then is a almost 10 min song, thats proberly another epic!! #3 is where i think they bring in a heavy track, and this Perfume of the timeless is #5.. so i think its gonna be a good mix of heavy songs, Epics, and maybe a full balled.. Perfume of the timeless, well its almonst a ghost energy song right, telling all these ancestors is perfume around in a timeless world, being around you still, also a message that your existens matters!! i feel tuomas also put in a little message that mankind could do better still, Einstein turn to ape.. I listened to this song maybe 50 times by now, and it is one i like to listen to with my headphones or without, its really a good song, when i can do so to me. Some say Floors voixe is low in the mix, and i can agree its hard to get all words she sing, but if you look at it sounswise it sounds amazing!! and after a listen or 2, you know most of lyrics, and its no problem at all, its done fully on purpose for the sound experince of it.. cant wait for rest of album!! "Perfume of the Timeless" Released: 21 May 2024 The title of the album is a word made by band member Troy Donockley, which Holopainen describes as the feeling of time, history, memory, and being connected to past generation, who have "all had their lives, their ups and downs, and they don't exist anymore, except as atoms scattered all over the universe. And we're going to be in that state pretty soon as well. So that should give you something to think about." Holopainen has described the album as being about humanism, history, and the inspiration ] Track listing All tracks are written by Tuomas Holopainen. Yesterwynde track listingNo. Title Length 1. "Yesterwynde" 2:43 2. "An Ocean of Strange Islands" 9:26 3. "The Antikythera Mechanism" 5:55 4. "The Day of..." 4:34 5. "Perfume of the Timeless" 8:11 6. "Sway" 4:23 7. "The Children of 'Ata" 5:37 8.
