Hey everyone! I go by Astro. I am an avid MMORPG enthusiast and love all things MMOs. I play a bunch of FFXIV and also BDO, hopefully new world when it comes out and Ashes of Creation. Outside of MMORPGs I am really into fitness and health. I enjoy being light hearted and silly while still making a meaningful connection with people. I hope you guys enjoy the channel as I am really hoping to build a community of MMORPG enthusiasts so we can discuss and enjoy our in game experiences together!

It's funny how when i was younger, i had 0 care about failing I had no anxiety playing as tank or healer in MMO's, i really didn't care, now i look like a scared cat playing a damn game where most people are just bad at the same thing i'm scared of being bad at
Thanks man, this worked for me. I thought my situation was particularly weird because I had no issues with framerate over 4 hours in on a new character. I beat the game once already and never had to make this changes. Cheers, you have my sub and like.

rtx 4090 owner here. I usually have 140ish fps with an unlocker. in the dlc areas i'll spike drop to around 40-50 fps at times. A few updates should be able to fix the performance issues but all these little tips won't drastically change your fps when it's an optimisation issue.
which unlocker did u use?
i get 30fps on 3060 even on 800x500 resolution, wtf

mine nothing change, I still get that around 30-40 when the area is a bit crowded im using 4060 btw

i'm not saying i am bad at tanking, but i am saying that i've only ever seen the lvl 50 allience raids wipe while i was playing paladin.
Use ocean fishing to lvl up. If you get lucky you get lucky. Once you unlock double hook it's just a matter of time before you get a good run and your mount.

He failed with the first game. FF14 is not casual! You have some NPC based dungeon runs but you have to do forced Human player, Raid level, dungeon runs and unless you pre-watch video of the boss(es) fights, chances are high you're going to die because the "Devs" don't know what the "phuk" they're doing and just doing the same old "chit" that's been done in games like World of Warcraft when it comes to dungeon mechanics. If you're a healer, you will get blamed when people start dying even though you have to dodge the same "chit" and try to stay alive, all while trying to heal them...again, the "Devs" never considered that "chit" and therefore, you will feel stress and super high anxiety when it's time to do a Human dungeon run to progress the game, especially if you're a healer. I'm even thinking about dropping my subscription because the dungeons are not fun, they're work and stress and that's a red flag when it comes to poor game design/mechanics. Even just typing this my blood-pressure is rising. Do not waste you're time with Final Fantasy 14. Guildwars 2 is a better game but don't waste time with that either because it's full of cheaters in WvW/PvP and those cheaters are privilege players, who's cheats are server-side so there's no reporting them and they'll never stop cheating. If it weren't for that, GW2 would be the best MMO out there right now.
FINALLY someone explains this guff in plain English. I have to say the wording and descriptions for these mechanics in the game on each ability are vague at best. TYVM for this video!

driver updated with shader cache size unlimited hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling ON, for me was OFF. depth-field OFF. and i can say the hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling works in some games i have but no with elden ring
To be completely fair FFXIV is structured as an RPG first, and an MMO second. There are no real incentives to make you be social with people. Everything in the game can be done without any real interaction aside from the hardest savage runs.
I find both spec so interesting and badass as GL. Even if I'm red right now, when I start to master boss fights I can't stop thinking: "What if I was blue, I could have prevented so much damage for my whole team and let them cheese the mechanic" There are a few classes like that in my case, but when you see how long it takes to farm gems you quickly come back to reality xD

I've been playing about a month. A group of actual friends started chatting with me in Gridania and invited me to their FC a few days ago. It's very new, but they are all very active and sweet. I find it impossible to play this game and not be social! And I'm usually more solo leaning

its also one of the easiest classes to play. most hard content is unsurprisingly going much less stress free when you can just survive your mistakes

I liked all these MMO, but here are the negatives things that made me stop playing them as a casual player: - GW2: 1000 currencies and different systems to learn when you complete your personal story, You don't easily get access to the seasons in chronological order so the story stopped making sense to me after your personal story, I really felt lost and disconnected from any attachments the the new characters I met that "I'm supposed" to have an history with but I don't because some seasons aren't available in order, I don't hate, but Im also not a fan of the skills being linked to weapons, that I can't choose their order on the skill bar. I like the Hearth quest system but miss the normal questing from standard MMO too. - ESO : No challenge whatsoever, npc are never a threat anywhere unless you do hard group content. Yes the story and dialog is great and then you kill the baddies in seconds, You need plugins honestly, like the mini-map and sky shards on the map otherwise you just loose time wandering around, I don't like the time gated crafting system and mount leveling system. Let me grind my skill, don't slow my progression artificially. -FFXIV : The start is slow, boring with very few skills and a lot of walking around. It gets much better though. I do read most text in rpg, but for an MMO its a little to much. No choice but to pay a sub, its not "bad" but I feel like I need to play my money worth if I've paid for a month, The shop, sub page etc is managed by a confusing external site that gave me more than one headache. The combat/skills in this game is very "rotation" heavy to be optimal, so you end up repeating the same skill loop all the time. Its good or bad depending on what you like I suppose. I still loved these games, I come back to them from time to time

@@SinghGamer Depends a bit. If you a very casual and just want to play whenever you want and not worry at all about paying anything I would say Guild Wars 2. If you are casual but don't mind a monthly sub I would say FFXIV.

Nope. Lost me immediately after mentioning FFXIV. Love the game. It’s not for casuals. The story is mid at best and most casuals don’t care for it. Takes weeks (sometimes over a month) just for new players to get to the endgame.
holy shit these changes made my game go from like 15 fps in certain areas to 100+ perfectly running everywhere in the game now, thank you so much, you made this game playable for me.

Too bad Aion died years ago, would have been top 1. I grieve T__T So I play Elder Scrolls Online (which is juste amazing, the stories, the universe...♥) but I will always wait (maybe in vain) for the return of Aion
Is there any chance you can make a updated guide to counters? I watched this, but it's so old and as a Reflux Sorc, i honestly still cannot justify myself standing in front of a boss during this phase of the game. There are so many people that just CANNOT stand in front of a boss at all times, or else they get absolutely wrecked because they are "waiting for the target to turn blue". Does this make any sense? I really REALLY hope it does, i just want to be able to help my party out, but as a Sorc it's just not going to happen. Or maybe this is by design? I don't know if at this point in the game, a Sorc is supposed to do something incredibly important as stunning a boss, they all have incredibly quick timers in which you can counter them, and Sorcs only have one ability... Squall. And it has a cast time! Can you help any on this?

early game story is nice, but eventually it becomes insanely boring and drags on while just repeating itself over and over and over, at this point all i see is the Scions of the 7th dawn trying to be main characters, failing hard, and then i have to come in a fix it, its pretty much how all primals go, worst is a friend wanted to make a new character with me and before we knew it we were 20 levels above main quests levels and stuck having to listen to useless main story quests instead of actually doing shit
