i really enjoy your train and ferry videos, thanks!
If you really want a ferry with views, weather but ordinary but okay food and accommodation try Navimag from Puerto Natales to Puerto Montt or reverse. 4 days 3 nights. 100mph blasts, fog, flat calm, 5m swell on the Pacific and blazing sun. All in the one trip.
Looks like a good price for what you got… shame the cabin looked a bit dated… love the hot tub though! (I always thought the stena britannica and hollandica were the biggest car ferries (Harwich - hook of Holland route) but I’m often wrong! 😜)
Offtopic, but couldn'thelp but notice: You didn't have the cheesecake, but the Torta della Nonna.
The "fancy" dinner (of course just €30) didn't impress me much in the menu (which I guessed at, in Spanish/Italian) nor in photos but I'm glad Paul enjoyed it. I suppose to a degree you're paying for waiter service and hopefully fun singing entertainment! Often on an airplane you get a much more florid menu and more disappointing food in cramped quarters!
Paul mentions the phone can only call reception, and then he can't get the tv to work. Guess what, my friend, I have a cunning plan!
The 70's called, they want their ship back. ;)
you should try a ship in Greece (Minoan Lines especially)
Looks like a fun trip.
I'd love to see you do a review of the cruise ferries they have in Japan.
Viking Glory in Turku-Mariehamn-Stockholm route is little bit shorter cruiseferry, but in gross tonnages it is bigger. It's also "newer generation" - it started it's service in 2022. When it comes to interior, my opinion is that Viking Glory is far more like cruiseship than this one, although it is also a passenger car ferry, or "cruise ferry". I have been in Viking Glory and although the ship is gorgeous, the most beuatiful thing is her route between three archipelagos. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MS_Viking_Glory
This one is also on my list to do! :)
@@Paul_Lucas To get most out of it, I recommend 23 hour minicruise for example from Stockholm; Viking Glory derparture from Stockholm in the evening, arrives in Turku in the next morning and is back to Stockholm in the evening. It will make short stop-over in Åland both ways. Viking Glory turnaround time is only about an hour in Stockholm and in Åbo so it is interesting to watch from the ship how - at best - almost 3,000 passengers and hundreds of cars and dozens of trucks are driven off the ship and new ones are taken in - all of that in about an hour. Also in day time in Marienhamn the turnaround time is about 15 minutes and it's there in same time with Viking Grace which operates in the same route but with the opposite timetable. There are "picnic cruisers" which change the ship in the Marienhamn from for example Viking Glory to Viking Grace or from Viking Grace to Viking Glory at the same time so they make like "half minicruise" and will we back at the port of departure in the same evening (they have departured from there in the same morning).
Another good ferry service is. Kiel - Oslo on Colorline. Recommended!
Great video as always Paul and really enjoyed it but I still prefer my celebrity cruise on the new ascent coming soon starting from Barcelona 😀
0:27 Jesus relax with the drums
250m is still a quarter of a km in 2024
Used to go to Paris with my husband once a month and since his passing I've done Brussels and am booked into Amsterdam round trip from London in October
Great value in your ticket price. So glad you reviewed the cruise/ferry. Interesting.
Cool video.💚👌👍
I was so excited to see the updates on Twitter and curious about just how much fun it was
Hi, quick question, how long do you get the hot tub and gym for?
As long as you like, it’s a daily pass.
@@Paul_Lucas another question, if you change anything from your trip, what would it be?
10 years ago we were booked to go from Holyhead to Dublin with Irish Sea ferries, but come the day of their ships were not sailing. They rebooked us on the Stena ferry, and it was definitely 1990s mall vibes on board. Rough going so we pretty much just parked ourselves in one spot with a nice view and tried to not lose our breakfast… since eating lunch was out of the question.
What an amazing once in a life time experience.
Caption for the room tour could have been: room for improvement…
Looking good!
Aha. Just back Sicily. Italian hotels don’t do tea coffee kettle. A little help for you !!!! I didn’t know until one month ago
Halo Paul , kapan ke negaraku . Whoosh dan Lodaya , Majapahit Economy class New Generation menunggu kedatanganmu , Whoosh Whoosh,,,,,,Yessssssssss , great video Mantap java 👍👍👍 .
The ferry from Bilbao (Spain) to Rosslare (Ireland) takes 30 hours! Very comfortable ship. In March 2023 I had to make an emergency trip, but strikes in France meant no flights and no fuel for a drive to Cherbourg to take a shorter sea route. And yes, the voyage across the Bay of Biscay lived up to its reputation. But the ship was very stable and minimised any motion discomfort. I have often used the Cherbourg/Dublin route. That takes 24 hours. Note I should have mentioned that I live near the Spanish frontier, and, by chance had a full tank for the car to make it easily into Spain where fuel was readily available.
You should try Havila ferries in Norway, brand new ships with classic Scandinavian interior design. And stunning Norwegian scenery included with your ticket.
Thanks for going on the water so I don’t have to! Seasick on a dock lol
That was pretty good, despite the burger and diced potatoes lunch. And unlike yesterday’s video - no fake books ;)
next time your in japan try their ferries hokkaido to nagoya and also kagoshima to okinawa or toyko to the tokyo islands.
I’m hoping to do the ferry to Busan next time I head there!
Hearty food 30 euro, looked fine for money.

Secure your privacy with Surfshark! Enter coupon code WINGINIT for an extra 4 months free at surfshark.deals/winginit In this video I sail on the world's longest cruiseferry vessel, the MS Barcelona - from Rome to Barcelona. I got every single add on including a suite...what what was it like?
I spy an overground seat moquette arm chair in the sponsor👀😜
I remember when they opened the check-in desks at Paddington (yes, they had them at Victoria for years!) and thinking "oooh, I should try that sometime." Unfortunately, September 11th had other ideas...
Asiana’s color scheme is definitely unique, and definitely different from Korean air Beige, but with pops of the traditional Korean tricolor of yellow, red & blue
I’d have spent time trying to confuse the lounge staff by sitting there pretending to read the fake books 😂 great video as always Paul!
I flew this from ICN to FRA when it was still proper first class. Great experience. Nice video Paul!
Who cares about the furniture. Want higher tixs?
I have been many times on the Chieng Mai sleeper it’s fantastic on new train, as is the new train from Bangkok to Ubon,or Nongkhai ,
Great video! Thank you for sharing. Quick question, you mentioned you use a rail card? Which one do you use? Thank you.
All youtubers gets 6A in this plane ;)) , cadablanca, seoul, paris …. Dont know how many times i watch this plane 🙃
Favourite view. Train to Penzance is spoiled for choice, running through Dawlish, then over the Tamar, seeing Truro cathedral and then Mounts Bay ❤
It has been really hard to find an A380 operated flight outside of Emirates, Good Luck!!!
What's so funny about Air Seoul? Is it a British thing?
I prefer the original inter city branding
I just noticed that this seat is almost the same with new first class seat from Thai airways except without doors. Same boring and plain color choice as well. 😂😂
You were here!?!
