    The heavy carry obstacles usually don't make people do burpees. Unless you're doing the Palmerton Spartan. They had so many people quit during the sand bag carry, they ran out of bags.

  • @RunningwithJames
    @RunningwithJames6 күн бұрын

    Rules have changed in the last few years. But Spartan had the option of burpees in Lee of tire flips and Carrie’s if it was too much. The main point is that they are not so challenging that they should be a concern. So focus your training on what challenges you the most.

    Never owned a Super Shoe before. Got these on sale...a Rarity I know. Man these things are crazy light and the turn overs are fast... Almost unfair with all these Carbon Plated Racing shoes. But that doesn't mean you disregard your fitness. Cloud boom Echo. Pretty much an F-18 hitting the Sonic Boom.. and it can be heard for miles. That's the metaphor/analogy for these shoes.

    When is opposite hand grip not doable or not ideal? I need to learn this because I fell on slipper bars and my grip is pretty strong.

  • @RunningwithJames
    @RunningwithJames2 ай бұрын

    In my experience the opposite hand grip is always safer, especially if the bars are muddy or wet. The key is to get your momentum moving forward. The longer you’re on the bars , and the more you try to power through, the harder the obstacles.

  • @RunningwithJames

    Most of these have a lower stack height, so definitely more stable. The highest most unstable would be the Adios Pro 3. The takumi Sen is the lowest overall, and I would Say the Puma is the most stable.

    I was on the crew team in college. Best shape of my life. When young, it's easy to compensate by using the back. I don't remember my coach even mentioning or teaching hip hinge. But now, older, I have had back injury and low back degeneration issues. So, I had to re-educate myself on proper form to continue rowing. The hip hinge and neutral back is great and protects the back from injury. Thanks for posting this video!@@RunningwithJames
