Man, excellent video! Your channel is way underrated, and your image compositions from that first set are gorgeous. I just grabbed an eBay deal on this lens and now I'm hunting for an adapter because it's mounted for AE-1 (I hope my FD-EF adapter works, yikes).... because Zenography's review said this lens is a soap bubble bokeh monster. I have several awesome Lensbaby optics for that in my kit but all at 50mm. Thank you for your hard work, just subbed! :)

Hello, for me, I have to say that I own this lens, the 7 elements are magnificent, I think even more fun, the only thing you have to do is clean the amber tone of the thorium since this lens is radioactive and try it with the rear glass completely clean and crystal clear, you may change your mind. thanks for your page.

The Tamron 90mm 2.5 macro lens has been made for decades. It has been periodically updated as technology has improved over the years. At any given time, it has always been one of the two or three best macro lens available, regardless of manufacturer. As a macro lens, it is equal or superior to many of the Micro-Nikkor lenses I have considered over the years.
@randallstewart122410 ай бұрын
This lens is from Tamron's SP line (Special Performance). Its sharpness and contrast are similar throughout the zoom range, all very good for a zoom and quite usable at all settings. Not my personal preference because I like zooms which separate zoom and focus functions on separate controls. I do not make use of the longer focal range, so I prefer the second SP version of the 70-210mm, which is faster and has better performance, maybe the best of its class regardless of manufacturer.

From my experience, legendary cult lenses get a following as long as the internet keeps on pushing the lens while forcing the prices up and up; the actual performance of the lens is nearly always pretty much unimportant for many people who simply want to own something expensive.
