  Hmm... All standard practice error trapping, testing, validation one would expect for cloud delivered rapid response channel files. How come they weren't doing this level of testing in the first place? Yeah, yeah, hindsight is 20/20. I get it and for minor bugs that's fine. But this Series of Unfortunate Events caused a massive problem at a global level. Impacting some of the biggest Fortune 100 companies around the globe. Impacting Hospitals, Pharmacies, Credit Card Transactions, Airlines, etc., etc., etc.

  Agreed it is also opening a window of time for malcious actors to try and attack systems whilst there seems to be this deployment issue with Crowdstrike channel updates. Not good seeing the amount of systems that are being taken down globally. (Australia here)

  Your are running this exploit against a 64-bit target, but you didn't change the GLIBC_BASES. Wouldn't they have to be set to 64-bit values for a 64-bit target? Also, the writeup says that it could take 6-8 hours against a 32-bit system, and (if all goes really well) a week or more for 64-bit systems.

  @@Brains933 I've tested this against Debian 10, 11, 12 in 32-bit mode, and I can't get it to work. It keeps crashing, even when I run it from bare metal with 64 GB on the attacker, and 4 GB+ on the target.

  When I first heard about something like this, I said that it's a very smart thing to use a microwave oven to jam a drone.. After a simple google search, we have the microwave oven today because the magnetron was used as a radar with tens of years ago..Therefore this technology is extremely old and outdated. How would anyone think that the military would need a microwave oven to manufacture weapons if this invention was used militarily decades ago? At best if you manage to jam a drone with a magnetron, it will head back to the launch point because they have an automatic system and return using the gps back to the base..

  Being that a jammer can tuned to not only jam the control frequencies, it can be used to jam GPS signals which will force the drone to land immediately, side benefit is it can also jam the live feed.
