  Statistically, Thailand has a high rate of traffic fatilities, so it is less safe than other places. Mountain roads in the north are often quite narrow and twisty, people often pass dangerously. We were surprised at how well paved most of the roads were, and the traffic outside of major areas was quite light. I wouldn't hesitate to drive again. The only big animals we saw were some elephants in the river beside the road. They were not wild, but part of a sanctuary.

  Wow is that ever civilized now compared to 1970 when we used to ride our dirtbikes through there! More attractive to most people now, but we sure had fun getting muddy in there! Ty for the video. :)

  I whole heartedly agree. There was a plan for a Vancouver city works yard to be built northwest of the bog. Not sure where that plan is at. Hopefully canceled!!
