Unfortunately, I think weirdo gamers are too willing to imagine some non-descript, ill-defined outside source of influence when a franchise does something weird with an IP (usually for pure money reasons, by chance, or be management/business-change) because it's comforting when you don't have to consider your fandom at all and continue unironically digesting content.

Even without the gameplay issue or the political stuff. I was still disappointed with the new colossus. They spend the whole time talking about building resistance and starting a rebuke, and the moment the rebellion starts... THE GAME FUCKING ENDS. The DLCs then show it a little bit, but not nearly enough. It left me feeling teased. Then, the 2019 game takes place after the rebellion is over!!! It also states that BJ managed to kill Hitler between the 2nd and 3rd games as well. which made me really upset that I could not PLAY the liberation of the US or the assassination of Hitler. That would have been Awesome.
A character like Klaus could not exist in the newer Wolfenstein games like i bet if he was still alive in the newer games they would absolutely assassinate his character

I think your creative and production analysis of the games is great; good points with convincing arguments. Unfortunately, I feel that your analysis of the societal factors around the production of New Colossus lacks the nuance found elsewhere in your video. It comes off as reductive, and reminds me of much lesser "anti-woke" channels and their right-leaning rhetoric. I feel like the critiques, whose origins you attributed to 2016 wokeness (using that term for brevity), could have been a lot more fruitfully explored. For example, instead of attributing Anya's poor writing to fetishism and be done with it, you could have delved deeper into the tired "strong independent woman" stereotype, and why it's bad and actually somewhat misogynistic. I feel you could have done this with a lot of characters. I would argue about your stance on politics in media, and why I think it's wrong and that your examples are bad examples, but I see no point. It's obviously a fundamental disagreement. But on the whole, this was a great analysis of the game's writing and gameplay. Why do you have loli in your name btw? :/

It sucks that nothing after the original Watchmen kept its original degree of nuance. Rorscarch was right to want to put a stop to Ozymandias's scheme in the beginning, but once Ozymandias's undeniably horrible actions began resulting in what were genuinely the best possible results for mankind as a whole, Rorscarch was in the wrong to still stand against it. That's what made Watchmen such a good story; almost everyone had at least some degree of justification in their actions that you could agree with. I'll bet you twenty bucks that anyone who hates Rorscarch will look at the meat cleaver scene and even now go "okay, he may be a hypocrite, but THAT'S justice right there, good work dude." The only person in Watchmen I would call objectively morally good was Dr. Manhattan, and I don't blame him one bit for being done with everyone's fuckery. _Especially_ with how they made him look like fucking Megamind, holy shit I'm still sore at how they did him so dirty.

This franchise is saddening. I loved the New Order. New Colossus was... fun action but 60-70% cringe, wannabe Schindler's List mature but then changed to wannabe Looney Tunes silliness in the cutscenes. I will not rant about the obvious political posturing that was taken in it... Youngblood... why? Not even remotely funny, the girls in it feel fit for Forspoken and it's just unplayable. The series is just dead. And I don't want to see it come back, to be defiled further. I WOULD love one where it's like if the Soviet's won the Cold War so now it's killing Commies... but we ALL know that's never happening in this fragile-ass generation.

The biggest failure with these games is the horrific head-bob. I'm not a motion sickly kind of guy (I often play VR games without any issue), but the UNREMOVABLE head-bob in the Wolfenstein games is absolutely vile and makes me feel hungover within a few minutes of playing. I Have no idea what they were thinking with that.

The tone shift from TNO to TNC really made me uncomfortable. I loved Rene because he's the type of person I've found around here in Italy where I live, I actually like how he's actually badass unlike Dross. I do like how the most sympathetic character, it's an old guard monarchist. Rene is such a good person too, he didn't enter the war because of ideology but because he loved his nation, more than he loved who ruled it and even went on clear suicide mission by idiotic commanders because he thought it was his duty and he was forever scared for doing that and he doesn't even take pride in surviving against the impossible odds, he even looks down on it as a failure, like I can't help but love him so much as a character.
