    I have their cold protect gloves. I did a trip to Denmark from London in December 23, it rained all the way, never got wet and were fairly warm.

    I got mine in april this year... put 10,000kms on it already, it's done everything from mountain passes on gravel in Croatia, edge of the tyre twisties in Albania and Montenegro to wet days on the west coast of ireland... nothing has gone wrong or fell off, its donev600km autobahn runs at 110kmh and crawled up mountains...14deg and rain to 40deg roasting.... I absolutely love it, comfy, grunty and it ain't a KTM

  • @James_Rides

    Thanks mate. They’re not bad, you have to drill the bars then find a decent way to connect them to the original indicator power, I ended up using small wago boxes.

    Thank you for the video. Do you feel this runs true to size or on the small side? Like many, I am trying to identify the size to order. No shops have them in my area but all can order them. I normally wear Medium shirts and 42 jackets, which I believe is 52 EU. I am 32" - 33" waist and wear medium shorts and slacks which I believe relates to a 48 EU. (Not sure I converted that right). I hate baggy clothing but I am leaning towards the Large but looking for input from those who have them.

  • @James_Rides
    @James_Rides19 күн бұрын

    I would say it’s true to size.. that being said, I did go up a size. I was thinking of layering in those colder months. It’s perfect for me.. we did a 10 day tour in the pouring rain and at 4 degrees c, it was awesome. The adjustment at the waist and arms is excellent so i think it’s actually quite versatile on the sizing. Hope that helps 🙏🏻

    @@James_Rides they have yet to go through emissions testing. To my knowledge it's happening as we speak. They are surely over priced over here so I don't think they will stick around very long. As long as I can get my hands on one I have no worries buying parts from over seas

  • @James_Rides

    You can safely mount most of the rackless systems on the bare fender. I've done it with a prototype of Ironclad rackless bags, bashed the bike through Hungarian TET (crashing a couple of times) for a week and now I've done it with Red Mamuth V-bag which I recommend for you. Cheaper than Mosko, has 40l, 60l (which I bought) and 80l variants and the top finish quality. I can proof all of that with photos, send me a DM if interested :) I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds rear racks ugly!

    Check your tent dimensions within your panniers bud. You'll be surprised the volume your tent, mat, sleeping bag, collapsible stool, cooking stuff takes. Longer trips you also have to allow for tools, tubes etc. Kriega should be fine for 3 to 4 day trips. As a long distance adv bike. I've ridden mine around Scandinavia, Spain, Turkey. All from the UK. 80mph on motorways is fine, it's not too vibey and you don't get blown away by lorries. Alpkit sleeping bags are good quality. Insulated sleeping matt for the UK and any mountainous areas. Also check the weight of your tent, you'll be staggered in the difference. 21000 miles and still motoring. Non power up version. Don't need it green laning. Rallying or racing maybe a different matter.

    I see they did finally change the paint on the infamous exhaust header. Mine had an extremaly thin black matt paint and got rusty literally after first ON ROAD ride. I wish you this paint stays a little longer :) btw. there are some chinese parts alongside big brands'. Like fuel hoses which, in my case, cracked a month after purchase (changed on warranty). Throttle cable adjuster also got rusty after about a month - not a technical problem but instantly visible ;/ I absolutely agree this bike doesn't like slow technical riding. I believe the ECU mapping is the main faulty factor here - extremely nervous reaction to each slight blip of throttle; I've never experienced anything close in a bike or a car. There is one thing you can do to improve this - put a bolt and a nut under throttle cable where it's attached to the throttle body to increase leverage for the initial part of the throttle rotational movement.

  • @James_Rides
    @James_RidesАй бұрын

    No mate! The paint is still shocking.. I can’t understand why they would still set it up like that as standard. The fuelling seems to be a little better as I’ve ran it in more. Thanks for the tips, I’ll keep an eye out on those bits 🙏🏻🙏🏻
