The many faces of Yootha Joyce - and all of them fascinating! She was an actress who deserved a standing ovation, whether it be comedy or drama. Gone, as we say, much too soon. A dozen 🌹 for the lady.

Margaret Nolan! I believe that she started out as a glamour model in the 1950s. I didn't realise that she appeared in so many films. I read a few years ago that she had sadly passed away.

She was a glamour model yes. She did pass away sadly, due to cancer I believe.

Beryl Reid OBE was the most wonderful comedienne, but I so wish she'd done a lot more straight stuff because her work in 'The Killing of Sister George', 'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy' and 'Smiley's People' was simply stunning.

I never knew the Welsh were 'mean' and 'you couldn't trust them', as Kenneth said, but I've never liked them mainly because most of them don't like us, the English...so there! LOL. Love Kenneth's gag about having a burglar alarm on the dustbin, and I must remember it as I have a particularly mean associate. I was glued to EVERY ONE of Kenneth's words as he was SO unique and funny.

Bernard Breslaw was a regular customer in a bookshop that I worked at in the 1980s. He was exceptionally tall but unfortunately seemed quite ill at the time. He had a respiratory condition that caused him to breathe very heavily, and he was also very myopic. Personally, I found him to be a charming man, who was very well read. He often asked for philosophical volumes. I believe he wrote poetry, too. Greatly missed.

What was the director doing between 00:12 and 03:45? Was there only one camera working? Actually astounded by the complete lack of direction throughout this whole interview. When I was at school in the 70's and early 80s Border was always known as the cheap and nasty network - along with Grampian. LWT appeared to have money as made some amazing quiz and variety shows.

This was actually a very important compilation as it shows what a great character actor he was. He was one of the old Rep. school of actors that could turn his hand at any part. Every week, they had to learn new parts for the stage in those days. Wilfred Bramble was very much a loner in real life. I don't believe that ever socialised with people from the acting world. When he died, only a handful of people turned up at his funeral. That's very sad, as he had an immense talent.

Adept at accents. Obviously his own accent was Irish, but plenty of others on display in this compilation (probably various different Irish accents too).

I could listen to their voices over and over, both have such clear, beautiful, nicely spoken voices, and such good manners, (as so many did back then), very sad to think how the English language has declined so much. I can't bear it when people finish a sentence with "do ya know wot i mean".

Unfortunately, the retar*s who now dominate the BBC Comedy don’t know the meaning of ‘comedy’! To them, making people laugh has to be riven with a political broadcast. Just shows how pathetic our media has become!
