  Yup. There are quite a few others as well that visits the Great Lakes. Hamburg, Viking Polaris, Viking Octantis, Le Bellot, Le Champlain, Le Dumont d'Urville. There are two others, Victory I and Victory II, but they aren't to return to the lakes until next year I think.

  She's a pretty lady, impressively slipping under the Aerial Bridge and through the Duluth Canal on her way east on Lake Superior. I hope she comes back for more visits. I think she has a beautiful horn, especially considering the bridge's "blats!"

  Slowest tug in the Great Lakes it feels like. I was once waiting for it in chicago harbor and it took an hour to get a few miles

  Had to read up on this one. The Presque Isle is an interesting vessel. She's the only integrated tug/barge on the Great Lakes and the largest in the world. This video is the first time I've ever heard her tooter. I think she has a lovely, kind of haunting sound. Very nice.

  A few years ago, the cook of the Presque Isle came into the chat with us. Everyone bombarded him about life on the ship. He was forth coming with the info and was very pleasant. This happened during the night time hours. Wherever he is now, I hope he's doing well. Always enjoy seeing the Presque Isle when she comes in, or leaves.
