    Um, no. Just plain no. Even on tapered threads, the thread form is still perpendicular to the axis of the part. This thread form is perpendicular to the taper, so it's not a proper thread profile and won't seal.

    When making BSP thread, the cutter is perpendicular to the spindle axis But the purpose of the video is to make the ABI thread and the cutter is perpendicular to the taper

    А для чего это? Перпендикулярность резьбы к оси отсутствует в принципе. Резцом за 2 минуты режется с соблюдением всех стандартов. И уклон конуса 4°??

    Pretty much any decent machinist can make this tool but an explanation about what and why would go a long way to understand what you are doing. You have to sit and watch single pointing and drilling. We already know how to do that. I wasted 10 minutes watching what I already know how to do those things.

    @@michaeltelemachus5112 The gauge provides a reference to synchronise the external thread with the internal one. Supports the part too & probably would have stopped the squealing on the last two passes had it been left in.

    I have done triple start successfully using the pins in the back of a D1-3 mounted chuck. They were parts for a Sunnen machine and I can't remember which one.
