The structure you see are cooling towers does not mean the plant is nuclear could be coal fired I work at a coal fired plant in Ohio and we have a tower just like that used to cool water nothing more not a reactor or anything just steam coming out huge misconception LOL. You are seeing the discharge into the river warm water great for fishing as it attracts bait.

The bubbles of the discharge interfere with the mega live. I will be posting some under water drone footage of it here soon.

The real danger is it could have SUNK the boat by displacing the water with air.

MythBusters did a video on something like this. The upwards force of the air moving up through the water is strong enough that it will actually be harder to get deeper in the bubble column, rather than easier. The only danger was when they neared the edge of the column and were able to get under the cape of the mushroom at the surface, where the circulation pushed them down slightly. Almost all the force is outwards (horizontal) though.

Did you ever consider fishing next to a nuclear powerplant might not be wise?

@@user-uz7qi5kq8d and? I’m guessing this is Lake Erie. The coast guard says there aren’t any restrictions about fishing on the bubble. There’s tons of smallmouth that love that spot.

Nicw mess of fish. What size jig head were y'all using 1/16? Does the fish scaler work pretty good? What make of boat do you have? Enjoyed the video.
@DMiloOutdoorOdyssey2 ай бұрын
Thanks! Jig head size was 1/64. Fish scaler works great I use it for all the panfish and up to 20 inch walleye. Polar Kraft is the make of the boat. Glad you enjoyed!
