She became everyone´s favourite aunt. As such, my favourite performance of her was as Miss Froy in the 1979 re-make of "The Lady Vanishes".

I absolutely love the movie. Not only does it honor the brave souls of the crew but we get a look into the lives of the men, their families, and the great stories behind their ascension like this one. Marsh gave this kid a chance, a chance that changed his life and saved it. The friendship that developed between two guys wherby the one absolutely hated him was something special to watch. Sometimes its a gamble, but that chance given changed lives. Great movie hands down.

Great list, I have the same number 1, here is my top ten: 10. Prescription Murder 09. Ransom for a Dead Man 08. Swan Song 07. Candidate for Crime 06. Death Lends A Hand 05. Playback 04. Murder By the Book 03. Suitable for Framing 02. Negative Reaction 01. Any Old Port In a Storm Honourable mentions to A Friend In Deed and Double Exposure. Apart from Dead Weight, I have included 5 of the first 6 episodes, they are like mini movies, top notch production values and stories. The rest of my top ten come from the golden middle period. No bad episodes for me, but Last Salute To the Commodore, A Case Of Immunity and A Matter of Honour are some of the weakest. Columbo Forever!

I wish Brian DePalma would have directed a movie about a former navy SEAL captain (John Lithgow) who now teaches at a naval academy and has a family. However his past catches up with him when he’s lured out of retirement to take on an international terrorist (Rutger Hauer).

Remembering Henry Fonda born on May 16, 1905. He was an American actor whose career spanned five decades on Broadway and in Hollywood. On screen and stage, he often portrayed characters that embodied an everyman image. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Fonda

Mosquito Coast wasn't his best film, I have seen Green Card, though can't remember it; haven't seen The Way Back, The Last Wave, nor Fearless, so can't comment. The Year of Living Dangerously was a good film, but not the same league as his classics

MsGoohan was so much more than The Prisoner or Danger Man. Little known film ' The Hard Way ' 1979 is an extraordinary portrayal of a hitman, the best money can buy. Calm, quiet , deliberate and knows his job 100 % , interesting as his view on firearms was totally the opposite too this character.
