Crazy once i put 4 AA batteries in my remote started to smoke
And now ur foams are gonna be real firm and gonna make ur performance suck more. Good job.
Not throwing Shade at you, but compressed foam stretched tire way too much if you will preload with the foam on the tire as well as with the foam equals no good for crawling need more sidewall
It's not just mass production debris. The most important factor to form the film on the commutator is humidity. On older nuclear subs after cleaning their commutators, the techs would spray water on the com during break-in/1st start.
Don't cheep out buy the right tires
It's not a "cheap out" I don't think I believe it's more for a custom look
I get they look cool but hiw do they proform from what I seen it looks as if that would make the tire quite stiff might 6 alright for trail rig not so good for rock crawing
you need to magnetize your hex driver(s)
Those rims are good I have em but hard afbto bead anything on the 2.2 rim version
Thanks man.
Great video! Thanks for the help!
You bet! Thanks for viewing. #t4l
I'm not trying to sound like a dick or anything, but what exactly is the advantage / purpose of this over simply just buying 2.2 tires?
Just to say it was done, and it looks prettt cool
@@TribeRc the only thing I could think of that makes any sense doing this, is it gives the tires a low profile look.
How do they go on the axial? Like thers no hole in the middle?i got the tire together but i dont get how it gies on now
Youll have to remove the center decorative cap from rim prior to install
Does stretching the 1.9 over the 2.2 wheel lessen the Height of the tire after mounting on the larger wheel?
It will shorten the sidewall on 1.9 yes, however dont think youll mind height
Yep, rubber stretches. The only minor issue might be that, for a rock crawler at least, the tire will definitely be a bit less flexible.
After finding this video it convinced me to pull the trigger on getting them. Thank you for such an informative video
Your very welcome. Be sire to hit the subscribe button amd follow the channel. More releases coming in near future.
Sir This the easiest lesson I have seen SALUTE I just bought some 2.2 axial for 1.9 prolines. My favorite sales rep repeated "take your time with these" I aint scared though a lil nervous yes cuz its my first time...Thanks for the video!!!!!
You got this... Thanks for watching.
so you have to ruin a set of rims. you can never go back with those rims if you dont want the spacers anymore?
I'm pretty sure you can reverse this if you'd like. Thanks for watching #T4L Hit that Subscribe button if you enjoyed the video
Why?
Why not? Thanks for watching #T4L
I don't like many videos, but I liked this one.
Thanks!
They seem suitable for a sct 4x4
The tread on them could absolutely be SCT Racing..
Thank you it took three hours for me and I still didn’t do it so I looked on youtube
Have you heard of zooming?
Thanks for your input.
Nice work!
Video coming soon of how they perform. Thanks for watching. Hit that like/share button if you would. #T4L
I did this with a set of 1.9” wheel and touring tires for my 1/10 touring car. They worked perfect.
Nice! #T4L
Hey dude, so the performance wasn't hindered by the excess stretching due to the bigger rims? And the weight added contributed to the grip of the tires I'd assume? I'm on the verge of ordering 2.2s for my 1.9 set of tires but wanted to know a bit more on those two aspects. Thanks in advance!
@@s6ef4enko no, the performance wasn't hindered. I mean you don't have as much sidewall give 🤷 but kinda comes with territory. The added weight of the 2.2s does indeed help with down low weight. Hope this helps. Tribe on! #T4L
@@TribeRc Thank you so much man! And one last question (forgot to add it to my previous comment) - what about the width? The 2.2" are usually like ~5.5mm, from what I've seen - 26mm on 1.9" rim to 31.5mm on 2.2" rims. Is that an issue when stretching them onto the 1.9" tires? Like they won't buldge sideways?
@@s6ef4enko it does bulge on side alittle but nothing ungodly, I kinda liked the look it presented
.. i used (3) longer screws for mounting (deep woods with 110mm donut) until the ring was fixed; put in the rest and replaced the long ones. helps a lot!
After watching this video I now ..Lefty tighty...righty loosey
they look like low profile tyres. I might do the same to my tyres. Thanks.
Will it hurt the motor if u use dawn soap n the water to CV clean it? N what kinda oil or grease u use to lube motor inside?
Amazing collection of great basher and crawler with very cool skills! Good job 👏😊👍
Great explanation
This pack has the charge plug built in so you won’t have to remove anything to charge it. Spektrum 2000 MAh TX DX6/DX7G2 Battery www.amazon.com/dp/B00LMJI34S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_ZGZP4RK6KYEG0W52HPE0
Is it a direct fit in the dx5?
Great video! I just bought my first RC Crawler to pick up a hobby - that looks like a great upgrade or rather an enhancement... I like the way that tire sits on those rims...
Thank you! Enjoy... #T4L
I was just thinking about this today and this popped up. Love the video, love the look!! My question is how does it perform for trail crawling? Any way we could see these in action over various obstacles etc?
To be honest bud I did this video and haven't touched anything since. I'm gonna try and get my s&%t back together and do some filming and yes that would be one of the videos I shoot. #T4L
@@TribeRc I hope you get back to it. You did a great job with it and I think you could continue to grow your channel since you think outside the normal.
@@vknight7376 thanks! That means alot. You hardly get these comments which makes it hard to want to continue. #T4L
"Today we're going to talk about the elephant in the room" *Don't talk about yourself man*
Very humorous
Hi I try to use louise CR-champ 1.9 with 2.2 beadlock rim. Bu I don't know which rim thickness 25/35mm should I pick. Any suggestion?
Not 100% sure on the answer to this but I'd say it's self preference (how wide do you want them to look)
Hi ~ Any suggestion for loctite? 243 222 242 ?
Blue loctite, wouldn't use red (permanent)
@@TribeRc ok got it
Background music is so stupid. Can’t hear the talking to well.
Amazing Video👌 I subscribed
Thanks brother #T4L
Cool 😎
Thanks brother. #T4L
How do you recharge? Take it out every time?
Unfortunately, yes. Thats how I do it.
That looksreally good man im not very good at tires but im gonna try it
Thanks bro! It's not hard, just alittle Patience. Enjoy
So the foams inside are the foams from the 1.9 tires? Did you modify the foams at all
Yes sir, they are from 1.9 tires. No u didn't modify foams just stretch over rim
@@TribeRc awesome thanks for the reply!
Would these fit a Blackfoot RC truck please comment back if you should know or not thank you wheels are sharp looking
If the Blackfoot has 12mm hex it should fit
@@TribeRc OK thank you very much and where did you purchase these and what are they called
I wanna say i got them on Amazon. They are not name brand as I'm aware of.
Just out of curiosity - is the thread lock really needed for wheels, if there is tension provided by squashed rubber? Do the bolts really come undone on the wheels?
Good question.. Ot may or may not be needed, but it doesn't hurt. I guess more of a assurance.
.. there is no tension from the rubber, because the rim parts are directly bolted together. not always but in this case especially it´s higly recommended to use glue - you´re not gonna find any of the screws outside if it becomes lose!
What You need is a little, scaled tyre lever You fool! ha ha ha ha
Bahahahahahahahahah, little worker gnomes
I've flown R/C craft for decades. The DX5 Pro is my first land based transmitter. Seems damn odd Spektrum wouldn't come up with a simple charging plug located somewhere on the transmitter so its rechargeable battery wouldn't have to be removed each time for charging (menu activated or deactivated depending on which type of battery is used). What I'll probably do is add a 2nd cable and plug parallel the battery cable, and route it through the slot on the bottom for charging.
Thanks! That's a great idea #T4L
CREEKSQUAD
Yeah this was worth it can't wait to put them on
Checked out your video I bought the same set rims and tires excellent look and choice great video 🔥✌🏽👊🏾
