We are a 4th Generation Family Farm rooted in Central Iowa. Come along with me and my family as I show the daily in and outs of a typical row crop American farm.
Fun is fun there are three beast trucks and they are made for different taste iam a powerstroke guy my brothers cummins but cummins is a great truck as duramax is and they have their goodies and power and if we all have to choose between these three beasts and a Japanese truck we wouldn’t even look at the Japanese so that was a great fan video At the end of the day USA made best

At 14:00 you mentioned you killed your rye cover crop days ago and are now planting. Since you have a good no-till planter, you should set aside several experiment strips where you leave the rye standing, plant your beans/corn, and then when the beans/corn emerge you roll the rye flat (roller crimper is best but a cultipacker or field rollers going down and back on the same area will flatten any that tried standing up after the first pass). The corn/beans keep growing through the rye mulch that acts like you put plastic sheets down and the weeds are way behind the main crop and don't interfere.

Yeah great idea! I have heard of some people doing that, if that worked out like I think, it would potentially eliminate a 2nd herbicide pass. Which would be awesome

That big banner on your shop wall must be embarrassing LOL I don't care for sports after high school, they seam to play for the money not the love of the game like in high school, besides who in there right mind needs MILLIONS of $ to play a dang game, I can understand making a comfortable living but Millions come on. the least they could do is reinvest in their home town, you know make life a little better for those who follow them, but that's my opinion and everyone knows about opinions LOL

Seed corn fields need to be isolated from other seed corn varieties, & regular production corn to keep the seed corn from cross pollinating & ruining the genetics.

This field has been cover cropped every other year since 2018 and has organic matter levels averaging 5, which is about the best it can be for agricultural production. How else are we supposed to feed 8 billion people while the amount of acres and farmers are decreasing??

Such an inaccurate statement.. the soil is a crop farmers first priority. Good healthy soil is an absolute must. Farmers are conservationists and stewards of the land over everything else.
