I’ve been absolutely obsessed with Lafayettes history as of recent. Good job!
That looks delishious !
Thank you, that was interesting! I hope there are additional videos about this topic.
Thank you for the excellent informative video Sir.
Really enjoyed this video ! Love learning the food history as well . If anything can said to be good coming out of the Travesty of Slavery , it's the food . They found a way to make it so appetizing that the receipt's are still being made today. Thanks for sharing your knowledge !
I hate to see things by parts!
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We also created a playlist that has every episode in this series available for ease of watching.

love it
Excellent that he was never found / returned. With the ability to read and write - in a time when many did not - he could easily reinvent himself, maybe start a business or be a valued employee. Now I am curious, is there any other history/archival documents, information about John Harris?
Thank you for your question! Please read our article about John Harris here: www.colonialwilliamsburg.org/johnharris
Beautiful work and beautiful planes.
A mullion is the horizontal section while a muntin is the vertical. This is the terminology used in the practice of architecture currently.
I was looking for a None So Pretty recording, and this appeared as the first video. I had no idea we did this but pretty cool.
First time I saw a little baby lamb playing next to His mother my heart almost burst. He was So happy and having an amazing time just running in circles and jumping up in the air. So happy.
My love of fiber work, and all things wool began at Colonial Williamsburg when I was 10. I met a charming man, Mr. Norman Kennedy, and he included me in a wool waulking event. 32 years on, I’m a hand spinner, weaver, knitter, and dyer. I love passion on the history of the why along with the how, and volunteer now with one of CW’s partner locations for sheep in Delaware. 💜
Because lamb chops tastes so good with mint jelly 😋🥰
What a wonderful way to not only honor the Brafferton, but also spread the information of why it’s important and its history. What an ingenious way to use the trades!

Thank you. Very informative. Lovely video. Sheep are just so darn cute!!
This reminds me of the movie, The Miniaturist, which i've never seen, but did watch the trailer. I believe it takes place in Amsterdam in 1686. All the rage for the wealthy is owning doll houses that they elaborately decorate with miniatures.
Having grown up near Yorktown, which is close to Colonial Williamsburg & Jamestown, we were fortunate to have wonderful & educational school trips. We once took a day trip to DC when i was in 8th grade, as it was only three hours from us. I'm a avid history fan & will be subscribing to this channel, which i came across.
Interesting story
Block head. I had no idea that's where that came from.
I came there in the eighth grade. Don't ask how long ago that was. I'm so glad to see it again.
As a former farmer, I really appreciate your rare breed preservation and more importantly what livestock looked like at different periods in the past. Please keep up the good work.
I've heard of this story in school. Even crazier that i now live in that area..😅

Too cute ! Hats off to everyone involved in the rare breeds program ! Your efforts are appreciated ! 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Not just sweet, but great wool to spin and knit with! Takes dye really well too.
There is nothing sweeter than seeing the lambs in the Spring! I’ve always enjoyed the Rare Breeds Program and what it can teach us.
So sweet 🐑🩵
We think of all of them as old men. These were youngish men who were serious and willing to fight but understood the dangers and the consequences. They were wise and had immense self-control.
I believe they loved one another, but more like a brother, sister kind of love. It was never a lusty, romantic relationship. They were compatible, she was what he needed in a wife and he was what she needed in a husband. She was a great support for him during the war. One of the things that led me to this conclusion was this. GW was selling some of his furniture at the end of his presidency. He sold his writing desk to a friend named Eliza Powell. A Philadelphia socialite, one of the people that talked GW into doing a second term. In the writing desk she found a stack of unopened letters Martha had written to George. She tripled sealed the letters and along with a letter of her own she sent them back to GW. In her letter she stated how she had found the letters and tripled sealed them against prying eyes as well as assuring him she had not peaked as she assumed the missives were love letters. GW wrote back to her thanking her but he added (and I'm paraphrasing) that anyone reading the letters that Martha sent to him would be sorely disappointed in that the letters would only be of friendship, there would be no romance or carnal lust
Humans are some of the cruelest and most terrifying creatures.
It always amazes me how so many things had to come together to create this great country.
Old is gold this era was nice .now people just loot in name of medicine
As a Briggs, I am interested to know her history.
I am a direct decent of JOHN HART he is a gggg grandfather and I'm also related to 4 other signers 1 being Mr. Whipple have you done any stories about each of the signers?
That is an excellent idea and one we might explore in future content.
