How early should a person contact a teacher/professor to get their academic letter of recommendation?
Great question. It's perhaps difficult to say the earliest time as it depends on various factors e.g., the prior relationship with the teacher/professor, whether the professor/teacher has written something similar for you before etc. That being said, my recommendation would be that it's not done last minute to avoid scenarios where the letter of recommendation is left to the last minute.

hello, i wanna ask about essay for gks-u program. In the guideline that's write some points in there. The first point is ask about motivation why i apply the program. I wanna ask, could i take that's point in my last paragraph or i should put in on the first one. I'm afraid if the selection comittee didin't read my essay until the end. I'm trying to apply in diff scholarship and now preparing for this coming gks undergraduate scholarship! I've got a doubt actually I tried to find out ans from many diff places bt got nothing! I wanna apply for korean language and literature dept through embassy bt is it possible to get this scholarship if I apply for this same dept bt through univ track? Also, please can you explain the process of authenticating documents in Nigeria, since we can't apostille. I would so much appreciate your response. Thank you for your help 😀.
High School Diploma would be your certificate of graduation. Here is the breakdown of the process to authenticate your documents: Step 1: Take the documents (Transcripts, Certificate of Graduation) to the Federal Ministry of Education to authenticate the documents. Step 2: Take the documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to authenticate the documents (the Foreign Affairs will not authenticate it unless you have it from the Ministry of Education). Step 3: Take the documents to the court to receive an affidavit. You might also need to have a letter from your school to confirm that the results are indeed yours. Step 4: Take the affidavit and the authenticated documents to the Korean Embassy to legalise your documents (You have to send an email ahead to book the time. It is currently done only on Mondays. In June 2022, I applied my first scholarship. It was provided by a foundation so I did not have to prepare a lot documents like gks. The required gpa is 3.2/4 while I got 3.4/4. So, I did not take it seriously and actually thought I am going to be selected. Although at that time, I was trying (not my best) , now I read my essays and they are really not well prepared even for me. So, it is fair for admission committee to reject me. But now, the same mistake will not happen again. I will try my best.

Hey there! First off thanks a lot for ur informative videos it helps me a lot honestly I just found out ur sop one video few weeks ago and I really liked ur information so I came again and again to watch it! Hehe anyway I just have one question idk whom to ask so I'm asking u here hope you'll help me out again! I'm applying for this coming GKS undergrad scholarship through embassy track! For embassy track we need to make total of 4 envelopes of docs, 1 for embassy and other 3 for univs! But my doubt is that as by the give construction in gks guidelines my recommendor has given me recmd letter and it's 3 copies in one small envelope signed by him! Idk if I'd have to put all the recmd letters (real one and 3 copies) in one envelope which will be for embassy or need to put all recmd letters in different envelopes (embassy one and 3 for univs) could u pls help me to clear this confusion I'd be really grateful! Thanks! ❤
Hi and thank you for your question. Not sure what you mean by real one and 3 copies of the letters of recommendation. During my time, I asked my recommenders to print three copies of their letter of recommendation and sign each. So I did not need to make any copy of their letter. Perhaps to address the other question, your recommenders should not be putting 3 copies in one envelope. The letters should be in three different envelopes. Hope this helps.

Also the document which gks has provided to recommendor (in which they've given the instructions to recommendor as of what topics should be covered in a recmd letter) BTW thanks a lot for ur tym and help❤

hey for gks can we chose our language institute? would they provide us with options or do they simply assign?
Hi Julia, as at early this year for GKS Graduate, you cannot choose your language institute. Usually, what happens is that if your actual programme is in Seoul or neighbouring provinces (like Gyeonggi-do), you will be posted to a language institute in another province (likely in or around Busan etc). However, if your programme will be in other regional provinces, you will be posted to do your language programme in Seoul. I hope this helps.

Hallo.Thankyou this is so helpful for me. I have some difficulty things. I wanna apply for the undergraduate GKS .But the eligibility about grades or CGPA that we should have 80% or above out of 100 points scale. But my grades CGPA only 78 or 79. do I need to apply ? Because I always think that , maybe they will not read my application because of my lower CGPA. Hope you answer my questions 🙏🏾
