    Shameful to have these poor donkeys being used as taxis. They go the whole day while out in the sun without water or food. Humans really are the worse species

    Came to this vid after reading of 17 y.o Charles Dunn's "leap" in 'Blue Mountains Byways' by Jim Low. The papers of the day described him as getting up after falling 55 metres off the cliff with only a few bruises! And then walking home...they made 'em tough back then 😄

    I had hopes of getting there last winter, but did not make it. It's one of the places where an elderly gentleman such as I (ahem, ahem) can go without putting too much strain on an aging body. Also very safe.

    Are you there in the summer to see spectacular lightning storms in Uluru when it is over 95 to over hundred degrees outside and the storms build up in the summer afternoons. I’m a widow Male. Not looking for any kind of … meeting a woman type deal. Jus5 never been on a train. Before my wife passed away Nov 30, 2020, she said we need to do a train ride. Well, I guess we waited too long. Is there… a way. A widow can enjoy this? It seems to be set up mainly for couples. On another note, I am profoundly deaf since birth. I wear two of the best hearing aids available, but heavily rely on facial expressions, hearing voices and lip reading. After she passed, I retired. Is this trip something that would be in my favour?! Thank you for your time.

    @@ChrisOsborneAdventures First off Thank You for the rapid response. This seems to look as though most people are on a hike Not a pilgrimage. Has that mostly been lost? Camino Francesco is the historic boarder line of the Muslim and Christian held Spain. Which would have prompted religious pilgrimage. Although the Cruz de Ferro seems to be point of significance. Along I'm sure the Cathedrals along the way. Your thoughts?

  • @ChrisOsborneAdventures
    @ChrisOsborneAdventures2 жыл бұрын

    @@63bplumb well the first day is definitely a hike over the Pyrenees as it 27km up hill 95% of the way. The rest of the Camino is more relaxed and it definitely takes time to transition from international flights and city’s to get in the swing of things and slow down. I have completed the full Camino on my own in 2018 with my dads ashes. Not been religious it was never going to be a true pilgrimage for me it was more spiritual journey transitioning from work life to early retirement. It is what you make it and the people you meet make it all the better, it’s there for everyone to enjoy no mater what their beliefs that’s what makes it special. It’s definitely one of the best things I’ve done in my life and would highly recommend it.

This also happened in another section of Glenbrook National Park Park twice before. The only park I have been spooked in out of all my years of hiking. Good luck
