23:45 YESS!! Knitting flat>>> I dislike having to knit 200+ stitches in a circle over and over again 😂😂 Honestly I think your top looks better knit flat than if it was knit in the round! I think you achieved a better neckline shaping. I know you’re making a sample with bulkier acrylic but it you have the patience, a tee with fingering weight linen/cotton/silk would be so nice and comfy!! Next time for your t shirt design you can try short row shaping along the sleeve cap for even a better fit. If you look at store bought t shirts, you’ll see that the sleeve cap is at different lengths to eliminate bulk around the armpits.

a little late to this discussion. i’ve learned that the sizing should be to fit bust 60” (so if intended ease is +10”, finished garment should be 70”). i’ve also seen a lot of discourse about short test periods that discriminate against testers knitting larger sizes. i think this needs to be a continuing conversation until it’s standard to have sizing to fit up to 60” busts!

Love the goals… and share some of them. Definitely finishing last year’s WIPs! It’s mostly summer tops I started then realized it wouldn’t be summer by the time I finished and moved on to winter LOL. Got to finish the Wishbone sweater that’s about half done now, (working on that while watching!) then wrap up those summer tops so they will be ready to wear ;) happy 2024!

I'm only on my 2nd test knit. It's an Icelandic jumper by Lopamunstur/knitterfromiceland if you're interested in test knitting a colourwork jumper this year. Two things I honed in on what you said, the first you said was finishing your wips from 2023.Im behind you with that heck I have crochet wips that I hadn’t completed in 2 years 😮and I just finished my knit hat I completed this month. It’s big with a lot of mistakes but I’m proud I finished it, lastly I listen to you talk about texture and color work I’m gonna challenge myself with these two things, don’t know what I’m gonna do but I’ll find something. Thank you Kaye for your continual encouragement when it comes to knitting.
