    Great video. I was puzzled as to why I was getting power to the solenoid, but just for a second, and it wouldn't start. I started it using your screwdriver method (but using jump leads). With it running, I could see the positive battery terminal was sparking. So I cleaned up the connection, and it worked just fine.

    Thank you. I believe the Solenoid is good. I hear a starting noise but nothing is turning. I was able to start the mower the other day but also had the same problem. I believe that thing in the starter is caught in the up or down position? I also just finished changing the mower belt and it was not necessary to remove the entire mower deck. It is, however, necessary to loosen the two inner pulleys to slip the belt on. Engaged, the belt is taught, but not super tight. Is that normal?

    Also sometimes if the starter is stuck you can tap on it to get it to the place it needs to.

  • @SweetProductDeals
    @SweetProductDealsАй бұрын

    @@handy.ginger It turned out to be the starter. As soon as I sprayed it with WD40 it started right up. However, the problem keeps happening and since I've already put everything back together, I need lift the front end of the tractor off the ground about 4 inches and then drop it, to get it unstuck each time I mow the lawn. In my experience with John Deere tractors, they are very poorly designed and don't appear to use high quality components. We have the technology to make things that last and it's a shame our world is money driven.

    I understand. I have found that for me this is easier because the bolt is usually a nightmare to get out and I hate laying on the ground trying to get it out. • @handy.ginger

    There are 2 screws in the inside of the dryer that hold the grate that the lint filter goes in. Once you remove those you can take that grate off and get to the inside of where the lint filter goes.

    Thank you for the video. For those with small hands and an empty house so that the kiddos dont hear you speak profanities that even Aliens couldnt identify, you can replace the thermostat and fuse without removing the panels or drum. Pull your dryer out from the wall, disconnect the lint exhaust pipe completely from the dryer. It slides out once you remove the bracket screws holding the exhaust pipe at the bottom. You can remove the thermostat and the fuse by reaching into the hole and unscrewing each. The method in this video does make it simple to access and remove each piece as instructed, but there is a different method that some may find easier (or more difficult).

    Have to replace the rollers on our LG DLEX5101V. Your video showed me where the release catches are and how to access the front rollers. Many thanks for taking the time to make & post it! Update: rollers (one frozen, one separated from its hub), belt and tensioner replaced, using a kit from Amazon ($40). We shall see. It went well, the rear rollers are a bit of a trial to get out, you have to remove the entire mounting plate to get at the nuts. First, disconnect the water system hose (at the water system). Remove five philips screws on the back of the drier, then dismount (you don't have to remove it) the heating element and back off one of the screws holding the water system so the rear panel clears. You have to push down on the panel to release it from a couple of tabs at the top, then lift off another pair of tabs at the bottom. Thread the water system hose through the rear panel and the mounting plate should be free. You will pull it forward through the space where the drum was. Yeah, you basically need to disassemble the entire drier! Total time including vacuuming out the lint - 1.5 hrs Fasteners are metric - I used a 14mm socket and a 10mm box wrench for the rollers. The 10mm box wrench is also for the idler pulley bracket. My idler pulley assy did not come with grease but the one I removed had grease at the mounting point and the pulley shaft, so I threw a bit of hi-temp grease there before I installed it. Make sure you get the shoulder of the mounting bolt through the hole in the pulley bracket. It should move freely when the bolt is tightened.
