I’m sick and tired of hearing this bs. They WMBA players do not get paid less because they are women like the media wants you to believe. They get paid less because their viewership is lower, they do not make nearly as much ticket revenue, and the business is not nearly as lucrative. The WMBA does not make nearly the same profit therefore they aren’t going to pay their employees the salary of those in the NBA. In the NBA, people pay to see the games, watch the games on TV, and buy merchandise. In addition the players make money off of brand deals and commercials. I’m sick and tired of hearing “they get paid less because they are women it’s sexist” it’s a simple law of supply and demand. There not a a high demand for women pro basketball therefore people are not willing to spend money on what is generally agreed upon to be a far less entertaining sport. I’m a 15 year old male and even I understand the simplicity of the pay “disparity” It’s baffling to me that many do not understand how this shit works.
