the problem is sooo many water around after 1 hour of work. even very tight level 1 liter coolant is on the machine and floor. For exmaple manule hand pump work very well. I spray one "pıısstt" in every 20 second. and it is enough. and it evaporarates. but I need my hand of course.

The thing I find with painterers tape is if it's old it doesn't stick well so if you can get new tape.

Hey quick question.. can you rigid tap in mach 3 with this set up.. i have the ec 300 bob and ive just fitted a 1kw version of this on my denford triac.. i use fusion to post proces code. Im hoping to have this set up soon.. also if the motor makes a noise when not operating youcan use the enable pin in the db25 connector so that when m3 or m4 is caled it enables it is pin 6 in inputs input 1

Love this video. I just printed my first attempt using a printer that probably made it WAY easier than you had 6 years ago. Everything went great...had to print it in 12 pieces with my small print bed. Well, everything went great until I glued the dome top pieces on and didn't get it aligned properly before the CA glue cured...the tabs in the model I'm using means there is no UNDO...I'll be printing another one......

Hi, you make nice videos but in this video the part when you assamble the gears I can see clear were is the right position , do you have a other video? The reason is Idecide to changethe plastic gears for metal gears but I don't know how to put it together anymore.😂 thank you for share your videos.

Nice, instructive video. Thank you. Technically, it's good practice if the lathe is metric to make any accessory fittings metric also, so there is only one standard.

So it's been almost 3 years since you've posted this video, how long after you did this motor swap did you fry your spindle bearings? The stock bearings on that mill are only rated for 3000 RPM, and with the new motor, you're pushing it to 6000.

Consider using a belt with a 3 of 5 mm pitch, 2mm is way too small for real holding power, belts may slip too easily..

While I recognized that you didn't hit the Jacob's chuck particularly hard to set it on the taper I believe its recognized practice to wind the chuck open and do any striking on the body of the chuck and not the jaws. Hitting the extended jaws can break the teeth on the jaw scroll and/or the scroll itself resulting in a useless chuck. Also the screw in the chuck to hold it on, especially a threaded arbour like on a hand drill, is usually a left hand thread to resist the temptation of the chuck to unthread (unloosen) itself from the arbour under normal use. If that matters on a tapered arbour I'm not about to make an argument. Just noting. Otherwise an interesting video. Thanks from Canada's banana belt.🤞🇨🇦🍌🥋🇺🇦🕊️🇺🇲👍

FYI/IMHO: ...I'M CONSIDERING A SMALL MINI-MICRO LATHE. MY ONLY CONCERN IS "PRECISION & ACCURACY OF", AND "REPEATABILITY". I WOULDN'T NEED TO "CIT THREADS", (I'LL RELY ON TAPS AND DIES"... I WANT A GOO "DRO", WHICH COULD BE ADDED "AFTERMARKET".

quick question i have mocked one of these up on fusion.. is there a certain volume the cylinders need to be or does it not matter as long as you have say 5mm of movement to press on the draw bar

1:12 WoW I havent seen an adjustable belt in decades. The last one I seen was on my grandpa's grinder and that was back in the 1970's which the grinder and belt was obviously made earlier than that. The 2 grinding wheels were on a shaft that were contained in their own casting which had a pulley on it. The motor was separate. The grinding wheels and motor then mounted to a base plate whereby the belt ran from the motor up to the pulley.

I think if you turned your drill chuck hilder in situ in the mill instead of the lathe, the concentricity might have been better!

Nice to see the intricate machining capabilities of the G0704 converted to a CNC. I'm planning to get the PM-25mv it is $500 extra, however the G0704 seems very promising. The face cutting on this CNC conversion is awesome.
