We are Mark and Heather, a couple of nomads on a quest to find purpose and growth. We gave up city life in 2023, sold our home and purchased 40 acres of land in Southern Arizona. Join us as we build an off grid, self sufficient homestead out of dirt, clay and sand. All the while staying focused on what is important to us; living in harmony with nature, community, family, learning new skills along the way through hands on hard work and doing it all debt free!

What a waste of time, energy and resources
I'll say one thing, Kyle is on tough sob
What a great creation!❤❤❤
Rave Ken Peters i saw the tribulation .
Thank you both for dreaming then building. I want to do it with my son! I know there is 0 Vic foam that is non toxic. Doing my homework and looking for land
How to recycle the foam, when it wasn't used any more?
Yes, please . More videos .
could you just get like 5 pallets of Great Stuff foam spray cans?
That couldn't be less green if it was covered in snow leopard fur
This is a fabulous build. I can't wait to see it decorated inside.
that's very unsustainable..,
It's great until the animals and birds start chipping away at it...then it's a leaky tent
Polyurea top coat that thing would last a very long time
Amazing job guys!
Very cool. I'm a big fan of ferrocement construction and this application could work well with that. Keep on discovering.
So how safe or fireproof is this foam? Can you barbecue safely next to it?
Now buy a bunch of mylar-coated plastic emergency blankets and glue/paint them over the foam. That will reflect the infra-red end of the spectrum, keeping you warmer and cooler.
I'm intrigued by the concept but disgusted by the music
Any living structure needs to breathe. Foam insulated houses are so air tight the indoor air quality is terrible. They have developed ways to bring in outdoor air via hvac systems using air quality sensors. Your house is an air quality disaster. Please do some research before its to lare
what about California?
Where did you build it at?
I'd recommend consulting actal chemists/scientists on the safety of these chemicals. Board certified contractors or smth, not your neighbor friendly hippie who's still "experimenting", hs educated and only learned to read labels
I bet the worker is like, ez money, these idiots gonna abandon after 2 days.
Why not use foamcrete and make the same thing but more durable and less toxic tho ?
fire hazard......i wish you luck.
Consider a Cement or Gunnite layer on the ecteriour.
Screw the haters😂. People think I am crazy cause i tell them i want to luve underground😂. Just the thought of my home staying cool year round without havibg to use a AC would be great for me. The closer to 65 degrees the better I feel. I hate being hot😂. Sucks cause I live in the south too. These kind of remind me of a hobbit homes. I was looking at building one for myself. Now I may have to look into something lome this. Just the building requirements are crazy here in Georgia😢.
😂 Didn't like the white paint till I seen that it was just used as a primer😂. Love the color and the idea of using different materials to make a home. Not sure how much rain y'all receive there but a French drain around it might be needed to keep the erosion down. If not much rain it will probably be fine. Love the home though for sure. I have always wanted to live underground myself.
To each his own but damn … what an eyesore, should be illegal to trash the beauty of nature like that .
Glad you have two dogs! They funny playing.
Jungle gym construction...🤣🤣🤣
I love the music! Who ever put this together did a very good job. Very entertaining and educational.
Wow what an amazing idea and very very cheap and affordable I can see an entire town or community built like this in the house crisis that everyone is having with costs rising wicked all around it could have used another layer of foam to hide the steel bars but you can also build the inside with wood framing and drywall to make it look modern and finished real home feeling. keep up the hard work love it.
I would not build on in Tornado Alley.
If u want to save the foam fiber glass around it 😂😂😂
That was frigging awesome! For some reason, KZread didn't send me a notification for this video. They are so fired!
Hope it's not flaming foam lol.. no smoking😂
There's an old house in Gatlinburg TN called zanido close to the skylift built-in the 70s ,made out of foam
Lots of THIN SPOT!
High winds, ladders, no rails ot safety equipment. Bye bye.
My engineering brain is like..why???
where I live in Sulligent Alabama. I have no building restrictions. I don't even need a permit.
Dirt bag house check them out
This thing looks like an ecological nightmare.
One man’s shack is another man’s castle. Post the house you built and be open to all comments like these youngens.
Interesting what goes on the walls on the inside, cheers Graham
looks even more awesome, finished
That is sooo unique. I think you should give it a giant blossom on top
Who cares what other thinkbeats paying rent
I’d live in it
I could see whole neighborhoods of these
Wish their was narration
Fantastic view of Kyle's place! I'm in West Australia and we have HUGE areas that could benefit from these ideas. Good luck with everything and thanks.
