    Hi!! There is a sale on Revolution Nutrition High Whey for $69.99 Canadian dollars. What do you think about it overall? Is the price too good to be true? Or should I wait for another sale or black Friday?

  • @jkremmerfitness
    @jkremmerfitness5 күн бұрын

    Funny story! I saw the same sale in the states! I got myself a container too. Looking at my container, it looks like it's amino spiked. The leucine per serving is at 3.012 grams. A normal protein powder at 25 grams of protein offers between 2.5 to 2.75 grams. There are no claims of it being grass fed on the label. The final indicator that it's a low quality protein is the digestive enyzmes in the ingredient profile. Users think that those enzymes are there to help aid in digestion--TRUE. However, it's also a sign that the whey protein concentrate is a very low grade offering a high amount of lactose. I'd pass on it!

    Looking at the information on the website. It's imported from New Zealand and assembled in Canada. It's probably a light dusting of New Zealand Whey. No definition or statement is sharing "100% New Zealand Whey." It may be budget-priced, but it's not the real deal. It's been added to the list.

    Bro I've been going down a rabbit hole searching for the Best Whey Protein Isolate. What would you say is the best for a skinny hard gainer. Also have you ever tried the brand, Garden of Life Sport Certified Grass Fed Whey? If so are they good?

  • @jkremmerfitness
    @jkremmerfitness12 күн бұрын

    Hard gainers are a rare. The reality is your not tracking your calories, hence the reason why you not gaining weight. Protein matters for stimulating muscle growth, hence the reason why I do this reviews. However, to actually BUILD muscle, you need to be in a caloric surplus. Start with tracking calories, make sure you're protein daily (weight in grams). Garden of Life Sport has been on my radar the last couple of months. That's one of handful of brands that has the Truly Grass Fed badge. When I get through this batch of video reviews, I'll have it at the 16 spot. I had a professor that did his graduate work in the Big 12 Conference. They had a center that was a 5 star basketball player that TRULY was a hard gainer. No matter what the performance staff did, he couldn't gain weight and maintain it throughout the entire season. This player had a tough time eating his calories, so they made it simple for him. Drink a 4,000 calorie shake after every practice. By the end of the season, he still lost weight. He was consuming around 8k to 10k calories and still lost weight.

    If you were to rank protein powders in terms of price, taste, and amino acid profile. Which would you rank first?

  • @jkremmerfitness
    @jkremmerfitness15 күн бұрын

    I had an epiphany regarding protein flavors. I can't be unbiased because we are all biased towards flavors. I'm dropping flavor scores after the next two video reviews I post. That depends on your price range. I've been writing protein reviews for the last four years and just recently hopped onto KZread with my reviews. If you're looking for grass-fed protein powders, the highest quality is anything with a Truly Grass Fed badge, followed by USDA organic. If that's too expensive, I recommend Pure Choice Farms out of Wisconsin for a "standard" isolate. My problem with Pure Choice is that their isolate may need to be lighter in flavor. However, you're getting north of 3g of leucine per serving. If you're looking for budget, nationally recognized brands, try ON Gold Standard or Dymatize ISO 100. Those brands only offer 2.6g of leucine per serving. At least those have an amino acid profile. If you're wondering, IFBB Champs, I'll be starting to post reviews on their protein powders. Plant-Based Protein Powders, I'll have those coming out shortly, too. If you're wondering about celebrity or social media protein powder, I recommend you steer away. If there's one your thinking about, don't be afraid to leave a comment, I'll add it to my list of protein powders.

  • @jkremmerfitness

    There are more strict regulations in place to protect consumers. To date, I've reviewed a handful of Canadian-branded protein powders. Some of these brands have a Canadian version and a US version. The US version tends to be cheaper.

    Hi! Can you do an unbiased review of Perfect Sports Diesel New Zealand Whey Isolate. Heads up there is a mass produced version of the product which is a concentrate and has some questionable ingredients. I would recommend you to buy the product from their website. Thanks

  • @jkremmerfitness
    @jkremmerfitness25 күн бұрын

    I'll add it to my list. Just doing a quick glance over on the product, this "New Zealand style" protein is imported to Canada. I have a true 100% New Zealand whey made in New Zealand, Antler Farms. The amino acid profiles are totally different, but the protein amounts are within 1 gram of each other. It can be either one of two things, Diesel is using a low quality New Zealand protein or it's a New Zealand protein blended with a regular isolate. I'll add it to the list.

    I find this very interesting. It always seemed to me that compared to Animal, for example, which has its amino profile listed on container, that myprotein never felt like it was replenishing my muscles. And I think you nailed it over protein and a low leucine amount. And I have a bag of it I barely use. And I was considering exactly what you said about needing 1.5 scoops. I've been a serious trainer for decades and am very sensitive to the differences of these whey products and always defer to ON or Animal as blends over this supposedly super pure isolate. Hence, I am in agreement that it can only be the quality of the whey and it us quite suspect that they won't share their amino profile ever. I prefer a company like Animal that proudly displays its profile right on the container.

  • @jkremmerfitness

    According to the math between the protein grams to serving size in grams, the protein content is about 84% pure protein. which is on the high side of protein products. Unflavored usually has a higher protein content, because it has not extra fillers. Yet some of the most advertised and tasty flavored powers are on 65% protein range and mostly fillers. So this product is actually very good.

  • @rickkrockstar
    @rickkrockstarАй бұрын

    The math content is basic. Its as follows, the amount of protein in grams divided by the serving size in grams.

  • @jkremmerfitness

    This is true. However, the issue is how much leucine is in MyProtein Impact Whey Isolate scoop? It's like saying, "My post-workout nutrition is peanut butter." But we all know peanut butter isn't a good choice for post-workout nutrition due to its high fat and low leucine content. Protein is important. However, protein quality is also very important. Hence, MyProtein is so cheap and low-quality protein.
