I love you friend 😀 yes!!! A no judgement zone!!! I wish i would have started saving earlier in life. But it’s never too late to start saving. Sorry, I’ve been kind of binge watching because I just found out your back!!! I’m loving this new direction and if you still continue to do arts and crafts from time to time, I’ll be thankful for that too😀

I’ve never heard of this. I’m going to look into this. I had to live for 4 months off my savings between jobs last year. It was very scary. And a little tip I live in Texas and it took me that long to get a new ID because I had let it lapse. During that time because I had let my ID expire. I could not get food stamps or unemployment. I had worked at my last job for 8 1/2 years. . My parents spent every dime they earned. It was tragic because they had plenty of money. I’m poor I don’t even have a car because I can’t afford it. But I am saving every little penny I can. A car is a luxury in my opinion because I can take the bus or walk. What I had to give up is buying luxury goods like Nike shoes, expensive clothes. I can still get cute shoes from Walmart online and it is way less money. And seeing how much I can save by spending $20 on a pair of tennis shoes or $15 on a dress. I got over that embarrassment real quick😂

I know what you are going thru, I been taking care of my mom for 8 yrs. now and the last 4yrs. have been the hardest. She was diagnosed with Dementia and now is getting worst to the point her Dr. said now is turning to Altzimers, so is very hard to get all the help she needs. I get like you sometimes but we have to hang in there and take care of our self too in order to help our parents! May god bless you. You’re doing a good job!

Hey Bobbie, no I haven't heard of long-term healthcare insurance. When my momma was sick, I told her that she wasn't going into a nursing home, and I kept trying to get her to come live with me. She was firm about not leaving her home. I had to come over every morning before work and get her situated and the evenings when I got off from work. TFS, be safe and be well.💙💙💙💙

Hey there! No, but I will check! I don’t think she was a member but it doesn’t hurt to try. I am able to get a few hours (8hr)/ week from our local area agency on aging. So that’s been helping a little. ♥️♥️♥️

High yield savings accounts are not for, or designed for, "emergency fund" amounts of money. They are for people who have more liquidity and don't need access to a larger amount of money on short notice, so they open one to take advantage of them for a period of time, or a term, to make the extra interest money on them. I personally opened one about a year ago because I had too much money sitting in a traditional savings account making almost nothing. So, I kept (still, way too much, but I'm conservative by nature) an amount in the traditional one and put a large amount in a high yield savings account. Again, they are not designed for a "smallish" amount. I wouldn't even bother with one unless I have at least six or eight month's living expenses in another account that I could draw from.

Hey there! Thank you for your comment. I feel like you’re confusing a HYS account with either a CD or high money market account. Both have minimum amounts that you need to put in before you can open one ( maybe 5 to 10 k). But with a HYS there’s no minimum amount to open one. Also, you’ll have instant access to your money. Mine even comes with a debit card which I can use if I get a flat tire or something like that happens and I’m in an emergency type situation. So yeah just look in to it. Congratulations on being conservative with your money and having a large savings. That definitely takes discipline.♥️♥️♥️

Hey Bobbie, I've been seeing these online banks popping up in my ads; I'm afraid they aren't legitimate. I saw one called Dave they are offering $500.00 when you open an account. SoFi to get your money right. I haven't researched any online banks. I will look into it. I don't have 6 months' worth of bills saved up. Maybe, 3 months after that we are in dire straits. TFS, be safe and be well. 💙💙💙💙

Hey Bobbie, that is good advice. I've been there living paycheck to paycheck; can't get sick, because my house would stop running. I'm now thinking about selling my home sort of down-sizing. I haven't made up my mind yet. I've been paid off credit cards the way you said to do it. Don't have one now; if can't buy cash I won't get it. TFS, be safe and be well. 💙💙💙💙

Hey Bobbie, I heard him talking about the interest rates, but didn't really watch him on CNN. I was thinking about selling my home (it's paid for) and get another house with the money from my now house. I'm a Walmart shopper; never been to Aldi and we have one here in Macon. I think this will be a great channel for learning about our finances. I still don't have $400.00 emergency funds. TFS, be safe and be well. 💙💙💙💙

Hey there! Selling your home could work out great! Especially, if you can find something you won’t need to finance ( downside and used the money from your current home to purchase your next home). Saving up that emergency fund can be challenging but you just have to believe you can do it. Start with a little at a time ( maybe 50 bucks a month or something ). Also, when I first started out I kept the money in cash and put it out of sight. You got this❤❤❤❤❤

I have always safe thanks to my mom that taught us to always safe cuz you never know when you are going to need it, especially for an emergency. I learn that we should safe at least 6 months of rent, light and water bills. I don’t waste my money if I don’t have too! And I know a lot of people can’t, especially if you have children. My mom always told us if you have $5 save $2 without looking back because one day you never know when you are going to need it and I’m glad I did listen

Hi Bobbie, I've missed you and wondered what happened to you. I'm glad to see you. I do understand life happens and we have to do what we have to do. I think talking about money is a great idea, because a lot of us don't really have a plan for our futures and don't have wills, and a plan in place for our children if something happens before our children are grown. I think that would be an interesting topic to share on the channel. Welcome back!!!💙💙💙💙
