  Queen's Suite and penthouse were both a snore, decor-wise. Had to go to Princess Grill Suite to get a little color (even if it was a ghastly red). I think the Queens Grill suites on QM2 are much nicer.

  The P&O Aurora and Arcadia will be my choice as they are Adult only, and Azura and Ventura maybe, as family's can go on them, but not so many, as more older people are on those ships.

  Not just petty, it's a big mistake. As a cunarder with many voyages under my belt I am very concerned about Q A. I'm not sure what they were thinking on some of the design /layout. One glaring error is the lack of promenade deck.

  @@stevenvater8720 They are trying something a bit different, presumably for a slightly younger market and it expands their offering. The lack of a prom deck (there is a deck just lifeboats are in the way for much of it) is inherent in a Pinnacle class. They obviously wanted something a bit bigger than another Vista (QE/QV). I'm on it in 6 weeks - I think it looks great, though I also like the QM2 and I don't mind them all being a bit different. Cunard has increased bed count by 45% - it needs a wider appeal

  Queen’s Grill Suites are not at all to my taste. Very corporate bland chain hotel in appearance. Princess cabin has much more warmth. Lounge and deck look nice, but both restaurants look bland and boring with little character. I was looking forward to checking this out in person, but the style is slick and rather soulless. My opinion only, and I’m sure many others disagree.

  Did you receive canapés at any point during your cruise in the Superior Deluxe Balcony cabin? It is mentioned in previous brochures and on forums that they are included, but I noticed the specific text removed from the stateroom description in the latest brochure.

  I think the thing is that you’re comparing a new ship with an old one. The Beyond decor is very different to say the Constellation which is a ship of a similar age. The new cabins on the newest Princess ships are also lovely- take a look at some of our other videos - even p$o Arvia or Iona… TBH nothing really beats Celebrity for me but I just really dislike the Virtual Balconies 😂

  Just came back from the Island Princess. I like older/smaller cruise ships, but this one was just furnished "wrong". The massive staircase in the Atrium, must be removed to not only make room for more guests, who will be having a drink at happy hour, but be able to see musicians by ALL! (As it is, musicians nor sitting guests can see each other!) This video (as most others) avoid showing the humongous marble stairway, because it's sooooo out of proportion.
