I'm looking for a decent quality ergonomic chair for a home office that won't break the budget. I'll be doing a fair amount of coding as well as some meetings and reading and writing (for research)... So I just went out and tried one out today at a furniture showroom, though only had the Ignition 2.0 in mind to try... It does feel quite a bit more comfortable compared to some chairs that were about 50-70% of the price, and noticeably better than the 2.0. That is for support (sturdiness as well as size), comfort, feel and quality of fabric... I think the ergonomic support of the Hon's is decent too, and I've had hip, lower back issues from old sporting injuries all my life... also once slipped a disc, own fault sitting the wrong way on an Aeron of all things!! And as I'm 6'3 I stretched the seat out on both, and this Nucleus felt better under my thighs... I'd brought a tape measurer to see how would fit under my desk which has a front panel going down to 25.25" from the floor - the arms (forgot to check them exactly but up in high 20's) won't fit under, but possibly above when raised by the look of the design, don't know yet... I don't want to get tooooo close anyway because desk is 30 inches I believe which is not too shallow, but not as deep like a typical office desk. And also the seat seemed 1 inch longer in depth (hard to tell exactly with the curve) which seemed to make a significant difference with the seat extended out, bum not dropping off the back, which it did a little on the 2.0. Not sure why not available on Amazon anymore, and last reviews there were in 2019, but going to try again tomorrow and make a decision!! (Think will be good for at least a couple of years while build up cashflow, if not longer if the quality still feels good and lasts, and wait to either get an Aeron - which really liked sporadically across span of 20 years - or Steelcase - but haven't tried any Steelcase's yet).
My home is already built so can use a bedroom for office.
