My pediatrician mom said she was taught to start in the middle each time to make sure you don't end up sheering it / having the skin uneven on both sides. ChatGPT-4o agrees without me biasing it.

Even though this video is a bit old, it is incredibly helpful. I randomly came across it while searching for some basics about genograms, and you have explained everything clearly. Thank you! I also found a tool called Creately that provides beautiful templates for creating genograms, which I have used in my university projects. Check it out if you or anyone else is interested!

You explained everything so clearly, great video. Just thought of mentioning that you can easily create your own genograms with Creately especially when if you need to present information to students or clients. Hope it helps! I have tried it, and was able to get my expected genogram done in few mins.

I broke my right hand ringer finger and going on 2 weeks with this thing on. It’s the most uncomfortable most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. I laughed at the doctor which he took as me being rude as I asked “Do you not have anything more modern then something from 1920?” This is like tapping 2, 2x4’s to a broken leg and say. Keep this on for 4-6 weeks. All good! Surely in the year 2024 we have something more modern

Why do you say that rectal temperatures are not accurate? I am an adult nurse but sometimes need to teach child nurses, so I'm just curious as in the most unstable patients or where temperatures are critical during prolonged procedures or in the ICU we often use rectal probes to get a very reliable core body temperature. A quick search of the literature would also suggest this is the case. I can see why it's not very pleasant and therefore not necessarily a go-to.

Doctors are taught to distrust nature. But nature has the solutions if we are willing to look and study it. After all if you believe in science wouldn't it be scientific to research fairly and equally? Pure Gum Spirits Turpentine (Pure Pine) has been used for hundreds of years for deworming, cleansing, killing viruses, bacteria, fungus and for getting rid of body bugs like scabies. Gum spirits of Turp. is made of pure pine and is not the same as the chemical turpentine. Don't confuse the two. What I've seen is Gum Spirits works a million times better than Permethrin or the other oils usually suggested for scabies like tea tree. It also boosts collagen and helps the skin to heal the same way that pine tree heals itself with it's sap. It's a very powerful natural medicine with an old history all over the world. Blessings to you reading this. You are smart, you will figure this out. Hang in there and be your own advocate.

I’m 11 and I got this it started a day ago and it hurt but I thought maybe I cut my self or it was clif piece of skin but after a day I realized it was green. I actually began to panic because a while ago I watched a video saying like someone was biting their fingernails so much and then one day they just had green green circle on their finger and I remembered that video and it said they died because they didn’t take care of it and I was so afraid so I went on Google and I search it up and it said that like you can die from it in my heart saying cause I can’t die at 11 years Old told me what it is so I was like OK I’m not gonna die. It’s OK but I really did not want to tell my mom because my mom is always telling me stop biting your nails stop biting your nails, but I never stopped so I finally decided to search it up because I finally knew what it is and I realized I won’t die andcan only die if I leave it forever and ever, but this process was really easy and it worked. I just want to say thank you for reassuring me that I will not die.

Just thank you ❤️ saved a visit to the GP especially with a bank holiday and ridiculous pain and swelling! Hot water helped massively to open up the layers and had to take a brave pill to push out the pus Washed with antiseptic and dressed with some gauze and hoping all goes well now Again - thank you!

I read about this and watched some videos on what it is and how it could be treated, all stuff is something to do with cutting it open and painful. i mean it is going to be painful but this video helps it in being less painful. And Guys if someone is reading this comment - dip your finger in warm water.

For the facial cut you demonstrated in the video, would you recommend using antibiotic in the cut or will that interfere with the steri strip? If not, is there anything to prevent infection besides normal wound cleaning prior to steri strip application? Also, what do you mean by glue as a dressing to prevent picking at them? Is this the liquid bandage? Applied on top of the steri strips, or are you referring to something else?

This video gave me the courage to go do this after sitting in this for 5 days. I was hoping it would just go away. Dreading having to wait at a clinic to get prescribed crap. I did exactly what you said. It works, just be sterile, and drain it.

Lidocaine hydrochloride 1-2-%. Why would that be blurred off of the vial like it’s some secret or that it can’t just be purchased if one wanted their own vial. Most definitely can.

Hi. I recently got paronychia on my ring finger from biting my nails too deep. I did what you said in the video and tiny pus came out but my finger still looks swollen. The pain has decreased majorly since I used to feel some type of "heartbeat" (it's just some internal throbbing) inside the finger but I'm not sure if the swelling should go down immediately. Is it normal if I've pushed all the pus and nothing comes out but my finger still looks a little blue? Because if no, does that mean I still have some pus in my finger or is the swelling just going to take time and decrease? Edit: My paronychia did not go away. My finger is still in some way 'breathing' still and the pain is still here.
