  You can swivel the head of Poppy actually. You just need to put a little force to do it, because her head is hard... If you want to do it safely, warm her head a little then try to move it.

  You might think about adding gold paint to those interior door frames like you did outside. You could also have made one or both of those panels into reflective glass mirrors using a reflective contact paper. It came out beautiful.

  Do you use the glue gun for securing the hair plugs into the place or is there something else used to get the hair stay in the place not fooling out? I am looking to restore one of my older Sindy dolls

  This is a very nice review of both dolls. I don’t have either type. I like the detail and lifelike features of poppy Parker. How interesting that she is so light weight and a little hollow feeling. Both dolls have nice features. I like the luxury and classic features of Barbie and the realism and modern feeling if Poppy.

  Poppy parker head is pivotal, maybe you got a sturdy joint .. poppy body may be hallowed but they didnt use a cheap material for the plastic

  Hi, Thank you for the comparison. I definitely prefer the silkstone barbie. I love the vintage look, and the weight of the doll. I'm sewing clothes for my collection out of leftover authentic Chanel fabric. So exciting !!!

  I started collecting Barbies, but have since switched to Integrity, not only because they are more modern looking, like a real female but the fashions are outstanding in quality. Plus, their edition sizes are smaller, which makes them more collectible and exclusive.

  The only thing I have to say on this 60's Barbie is the hair style looks too modern. I would liked to have seen the classic iconic pony tail. I liked the Barbies with the (bubble) hairstyle, but the style I think just doesn't go with the period of the doll. Maybe if you tried to given the hair some curl. I will say, it makes me smile that you gave this Barbie a breathtaking makeover. From the opening of the video of her in the box, she looked like she was very mistreated from who owned her in the past. The provocative markings on her body, definitely not someone who should own a Barbie. You did an amazing job, and just touching up the paint on her face brings her back to life. Amazing job!
