    Does anyone know the right position for how far the mirrors are supposed to be looking up/down? Because this only shows you how to position your mirrors horizontally but not how to position it so it’s not looking too up or down.

    I had that happen today. Good thing I was slowing down. But a guy in a truck just cut right into my line with no turn single. Then he got mad at me when I honked. Dude use the turn single let other behind you know what you are doing.

    your videos are amazing and very informative! I have trouble getting out of my apartment complex when I need to turn left with so much traffic it is almost impossible to turn that way when i definitely need to! in what way could i make that left turn instead of just turning right and doing a u-turn at the next stop. i’ve seen people judge while turning left by checking both sides of traffic but it’s hard to judge. anyways thanks a lot !

    If I experience neck strain, is it because my seat is too close to the steering wheel or too far away from it?

  • @HowSkills
    @HowSkills2 күн бұрын

    More than likely it’s because your seat is too far away from it, causing you to reach forward more than you normally would. This would cause your shoulders to pull forward, as well as pull on your neck and upper back muscles.

    Omg, this is just what I was looking for. I failed by G2 test in Ontario, Canada, due to not yielding to a pedestrian on right turn at intersection. I really wanted refresher on left turn rules, before taking my next test. Thank you!

    Blind spot mirrors are great for seeing actual lane position. Also I never liked 9 and 3. I like left hand at 12 or 8. At 12 it becomes a reference point. At 8 it is a nice place to cruise. The right hand is only used for tricky maneuvers but mostly for fiddling with the radio.

    I thought those relays were for the engine cooling fans ?

  • @xHadesStamps
    @xHadesStamps2 күн бұрын

    Back when we had electromechanical relay flashers, hyperflash was an unintentional byproduct of the way they work (and thermal flashers would do the opposite). It was decided that hyperflash worked quite well as a bulb-out indicator, so that’s how it’s typically implemented on modern electronic flashers. I do believe an indicator light on the dashboard is allowed to take its place, but it’s not usually done. Also, these bulbs it’s perfectly fine to touch the glass on. That’s only for halogen bulbs (as well as HID bulbs), and these are just ordinary incandescent bulbs. Don’t touch your headlights bulbs, though!

    I always move my hands to either, depending on direction, ~1 and ~8, or ~11 and ~4 when making a turn (hand over hand). Not sure why, but I think I’ve always automatically done that when I first started driving, as I don’t ever remember doing it consciously. I might be weird for that, but hey, it works.

    I’ve seen way too many cases where there are two vehicles waiting in the intersection. It always pisses me off.

    This is one of the better videos I have watched regarding this installation. I have been watching a few of these videos about installing this to a mechanical doorbell. The transformers in the doorbell unit is 16vac so I know it is enough power. Where I am confused is, will the mechanical doorbell continue to chime, or do I need to add something to make it work?

  • @HowSkills

    No, it hasn’t turned out to be a problem at all. The thermostat needs very little power to operate, so most systems will work with it even without a c wire.
