History Was Written By The Conquerors Yahusha's followers were, and are, Natsarim, and we guard His Commandments. The Roman Circus (teaching authority) splintered after the Great Schism, and the Reformation, giving rise to the anti-Reformation military called Societas IESV (Jesuits). They taught me, but all the while I thought they were mad men. Constantine's influences were far more insidious than any other individual since Nimrod the rebel. The primary control they use - other than the imaginary "sacraments," was crafted by councils. CREEDS The historical objective of a creed is to establish a universal list of accepted beliefs among Christians. Conflicts over doctrinal beliefs were resolved at councils set up to make a determination that would develop into a creed. The acceptance or rejection of a creed served to distinguish believers from heretics. The winners of the conflicts wrote the history of our traditions, and behavior patterns.

As a former Baptist, the SBC has a serious problem with setting priorities. I understand the Biblical rules, but the timing is horrendous. This isn't earth shattering enough of belief difference to divide an already divided SBC. This could have been handled in time without the divisive cost they pay now. Aren't the SBC leadership still reeling from the 20 year sex scandal? That kind scandal happens and they figure the rebound move is women in ministry? It's a power play and reminds me why I left the church.

I realize now the truth of the politician whos says, "if we give women the right to vote soon children will vote," it happened. The same applies to citizenship, when the present gang stops supporting the political agenda they want to make citizens of new comers with fewer requirements. Look to Europe to see the results because its coming here.

We need order in the Nation but not the "order" that the present regime is trying to force on us. A make believe history, a "science" without evidence, politics of force and lies.

A history documentary I saw many years ago suggested that the Dutch, in the 17th Century, were the first to largely abandon religiosity and concentrate more on scientific discovery for progress in their society. This allowed them to develop their maritime empire, the finest ships, the science of navigation, the understanding of foreign cultures, medicines etc. But is wasn't long before the British copied the Dutch and this led to the growth of their empire and even greater success - and also the spawning of the Industrial Revolution in England. As a consequence of rational thinking, Britain attained the greatest advances in Biology, medicine, geology, evolution, engineering, and agriculture. Other cultures maintained their religions and non-scientific mind sets and as a consequence fell into decline. Muslims, for example, believed that their destinies were pre-arranged by God and so there was no incentive to improve their lot.

The inescapable issue is do you follow G-d and the Word or man's fickle ideas on anything. To argue this is to argue did G=d really say that? Is the Bible the infallible, inspired, word and the final authority in all matters of faith, doctrine, and practice. I am not from a background that ever accepted the Bible alone, but I realize this is life and death for the Church in a paganized society.

Who is the SBC today? Who are its leaders and what do they believe? It seems that 39% of the messengers do not believe that the pastorate is for men only. Many pastors support LGBTQ+ issues. This is a big problem. Clearly, there is an effort afoot to carry the SBC back to liberalism. Maybe it's time for a conservative revolt. Don't wait too long. They enemy is very well organized and they have a strategy. If these issue don't destroy the Convention, the move toward theological Calvinism will. Unfortunately, Mohler is a leader in this area.

So, why don't you do a discussion on Luther? Did he promise God he'd serve him if he was saved from a thunderstorm? or Did he use the Sanctuary Law to prevent being arrested for capital murder and dueling? both punishable by death?? Everything generally accepted by Lutherans as to Martin Luther's history, and theology, is false. And, please talk about how Luther inspired the Nazi's to commit the Holoxost, even though the history of the Holoxost also has myths in it's history. The 20th century is the century of LIES!

I am not a Southern Baptist, but I am a member of an Independent Baptist Church in Indiana. Our church is small and governs itself. Our pastor teaches from the infallible Word of God, and He does not fall from His Word. I'll be praying for the SBC as it will be tested, once again, by Satan, to adhere to the liberalism of questioning God's Sovereignty.

Thoroughly disgusted with the "leadership" of the "sbc". This should have not been a NARROW VOTE. Gods word is final and is of truth. A woman is to be silent in the church but has a great role in the family and also setting examples of Godly living and teaching young ladies. This action validates sbc's inability to discern their false belief of Water Baptism as well as other teachings that fall under the Mosaic Law. They still have problems rightly dividing the Word of God! I pray for them as I believe many are Brothers and Sisters in Christ.....

When women stop doing what God generally gifted them to do, that is bear and nurture the next generation and relationships, resources will get scarcer. This is because we generally produce more than we consume. The rich and women will be the most harmed by this dynamic as it is played out over the next 100 years.

How about 2 Consecutive Annual Meetings? Does That Spell A Difference? (It's policy that winning a vote at 2 Consecutive Annual Meetings establishes a new policy that must then be funded.) Where's the money to the ERLC going? Until that is known, I suppose the minimal-money tier for voting is the max good choice.

Being faithful and obedient to scripture regarding the role of pastor is indeed so very important. It is too bad that the same zeal for scripture obedience is not applied to the many other areas within the church and the SBC can't seem to muster the courage to deal with scripture application in all of life. In other words, it's good a "vote supporting a resolution sounding alarm on IVF" was acknowledged and you, Dr. Mohler, really explained why very well (as usual). Just apply it to the full range of abominable practices Christians use..."the pill," IUD, implants, vasectomies, etc. The antinatalist agenda within the church is alive and well. So, sadly, the role of pastor and IVF are only the tip of the iceberg.

If not for IVF I would not have my beautiful 3 year old son. My husband had a rare cancer and we were just married. This argument against IVF frustrates me because it’s giving a chance to create a child that otherwise would had never existed. Most embryos that have been properly disposed are those that have genetic abnormalities. I had 5, one was mosaic, two had an extra chromosome two were healthy. This is what would likely happen with most natural ways of giving birth because most of these would either be miscarriages or born with severe defects. If have had two embryo transfers. They take this job extremely seriously. And treat the embryos as the precious beings that they are.

Conservatives never win. They may get a win every once in awhile but the liberals bring it up until they win and then it is permanent. Since it is now post convention we see that the libs have won and the SBC is just another mainline denomination losing members every year.

If you are confused compare this verse with Genesis 4:7. Males must rule over women in the same way we must rule over sin. A lightbulb should come on!

Mohler talks about rapid moral change - over a span of just 7 years. He finds such change, when individuals change their moral judgments, troubling. Well how about, not in 7 years, but two months? According to the NY Times, “In April, before the former president was convicted on 34 felony counts by a New York jury, and again this month, after he was found guilty, YouGov asked voters: “Do you think someone who has been convicted of a felony should be allowed to become president?” In April, before the verdict, Republicans were decisively opposed to a felon becoming president, 17 percent in favor, 58 percent opposed (the remaining 25 percent not sure). In June, after the conviction, Republicans somersaulted: 58 percent said a felon should be allowed to become president, 23 percent were opposed, and 19 percent were unsure. YouGov also asked voters: “Do you consider falsifying business records to conceal hush money payments to a porn star a serious crime?” In six pre-conviction polls from June 2023 to April 2024, the share of Republicans saying it was a serious crime to falsify records was consistently in the range from 27 percent to 29 percent. In June, after Trump’s conviction, the Republican percentage fell to 9 percent. This has been a continuing pattern for Trump loyalists. In 2011, well before Trump’s presidential campaign, P.R.R.I. (formerly the Public Religion Research Institute) asked members of different denominations whether “elected officials can still perform their public duties in an ethical manner even if they have committed immoral personal acts.” White evangelical Protestants were by far the most adamant in rejecting politicians with histories of personal immorality. Just 30 percent said a politician compromised in that way could perform in an ethical manner if elected to public office. In 2016, when Trump became the Republican nominee, P.R.R.I. posed the same question. This time, 72 percent of white evangelical Protestants said a personally immoral politician could conduct himself ethically in public office, the highest percentage among all the denominations queried. In other words, trying to set a meaningful standard of decency for Trump is like trying to catch an eel barehanded.” www.nytimes.com/2024/06/12/opinion/trump-biden-democrats-strategy.html?unlocked_article_code=1.zE0.5AuQ.8Cis3ANwrA5v&smid=url-share By the way, in 2016, after the Access Hollywood tape, Albert Mohler refused to vote for Trump due to his moral turpitude. But by 2020 he had decided that personal virtue in a leader wasn’t all that important. Then came January 6. In his Jan 7, 2021 Briefing Mohler roundly condemned Trump for attempting to “subvert the very constitutional order that he took an oath of office to defend.” He as much as called Trump a demagogue, and he recognized the insurrectionists as members of a cult of personality which threatens our ordered liberty with authoritarianism and even dictatorship, repeating Lord Acton’s dictum, “power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” He even called a cult of personality “the greatest danger to the American experiment.” But Mohler’s moral clarity in the immediate aftermath of Jan 6 almost immediately evaporated, and he has not repeated any of this since. In fact, although he knew on Jan 7 that “given our own Christian biblical worldview, we’re the last people on Earth who can engage in any human cult of personality,” now that the Republican Party has been completely taken over by a personality cult - no Republican politician can criticize Trump and hope to continue his career in the party; they even feel obliged to affirm they are “loyal” to him, and Republicans, as we’ve just seen, shift their moral judgments depending on what’s best for Trump - even so, Mohler is all in for a Republican triumph in the fall. He has chosen fighting the culture war over protecting democracy. Is that moral change, or is it just change that reveals what was always there - a thirst for power prioritized over respect for liberty?
