Thanks for this man, I'm building a 93 Sporty and it seems we have very similar ideas, so it's great to see someone doing what I need to see. Thank you.
I just bought a 738 new with auto coupler. Mower rattles and makes noises. I think it's the part that holds the coupler in place. Does your mower deck rattle?
what brand wheel hub bearing assembly did you use and how have they been working for you??? Any issues?
They are MOOG, I linked everything in the description. I haven't had any issues with them so far
Appreciate the video! I am doing a similar job and got a set without helper springs so this answered my question on swapping them over.
Glad it helped, good luck with you swap!
Once that obnoxious music started I was done. See ya!
Is it the music choice, or that there is music at all? Serious question. I am always looking to improve the videos
@@cheesingarage Music choice and volume.
Thanks for the feedback 👍
The music change from teardown to rebuild is great 😂 😊
That's really how it feels sometimes haha
I got one of these, does pretty well but too easily stops if you use too much pressure.
Yea it works for what I need it for, but it is only a 1/2 hp motor
What is that bar you had to take off
Do you mean the bracket connecting the block and the transmission? Its just a brace between the engine and transmission. I believe its actual name is an adapter plate bracket brace. From what I heard, it might not be installed on all years of the truck.
Nice
Thanks!
Sweet lookin truck. I don't like red paint on trucks but this looks good. A good darker shade of red.. 💪😎
Red can be a difficult color sometimes especially on larger vehicles. I was a little iffy on the color of this truck originally, but it really grew on me
jost found the video, good review. by the way, that bobber looks awesome.
Thanks! Its still a work in progress but I have been loving it so far!
I'm 400 miles away from home pulling a 20ft trailer with 4 atvs on it and my truck just started doing this. Thanks for the info
Hope it helped you out and that you made it back safe!
Hi! I want instal this Dynatec 2000i on my Evo 1987 and I have 5 Ohms Dyna Coil. Can I Connect it with this Coil ?? Thank You
I have the same control arms on mine. 😎
Thuren Fab makes some quality stuff 👍
How long was your replacement bolts for the foot peg my bike came with new forward controls but the holes on the primary are empty and I need the bolts
Which way should I turn wrench to put back in two wheel drive?
was doing this today and got to about the positive starter cable? is it a 15mm? it’s suck a damn pain and i don’t wanna round it off
Going to do this to my 2012, but i am going to coat with raptor liner, front and back.
Coating the concave part towards the from of the truck is probably a good idea. That part catching and holding salt and debris is what caused the rust in the first place.
PS: you DO know that you can purchase new keystone bars that are internal wiring ready for like $80 bucks right? That way you won't sheer off the casings and ground out your wires after fishing them through a drill hole. But hey whatta I know, only been working on hogs for 31yrs
No actually I didn't know that, can you share the link to those? I never claimed to be an expert here, this is my first time doing this type of build. I am just building my bike and sharing the progress along the way. Always happy to hear tips and criticism from people who know more than me. Thanks for watching!
Ok sweet so you've essentially told us nothing about how to do this ourselves👍👍👌
Have you seen the bank's differential cover for the rear? I have it on my truck and I'm really happy with it but he does a lot of fluid dynamics videos on why not to run the flatbacks.
I have! If I didn't already have this one, I would have gone with theirs. Big fan of the way Banks takes the time to really engineer their parts
Use a sewn yellow buffing wheel with brown tripoli. Then sewn cotton flannel wheel with white compound. I sand with 320 then 500 grit before buffing. Mirror finish.
Thanks for the info! You're able to get a mirror finish with only going to 500 grit? I am going to have to try that!
Been fighting my 2500 for a year, 3 shift motors. Finally got it. Connectors were dirty on wire harness side of the plug. Took a little round brush and cleaner to remove. Put old actuator on, works.
Oh interesting, I have giving my wiring a once over but haven't seen any issues. I have had luck with the last replacement though, its still going without issues. Sounds like there could be multiple reasons why these have issues, thanks for sharing!
I bought mine used for 140 bucks, I got a fairly heavy bike but it's holding it up pretty good with the retainer bar keeping the weight off the jack, im pretty happy with it because it's actually almost brand new, but harbor freight has jacked the price up a bit from what it used to be so I'd have to really think hard about paying what their asking for one these days with the economy in the tank because of you know who.
bro you really need to really show the ride height and not you're face all the time
Very informative, Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Hello if you have a voes but you want to disconnect it you need to put the switch 1 in position Off ? It s correct ? Can that help if you have a kickstart ? The bike have kick and electric start is a shovel? Thanks for your answer
Hmmm, I am not sure. I would think it wouldn't make much difference at start, since it only advances with vacuum, but I haven't had the pleasure of working with many kick start bikes. I would reach out to dynatek with that question, their customer support has been great for any questions I had. Best of luck!
Do you think this can polish a kirby?
I had to look at your page to realize a kirby is a vacuum cleaner haha. If the kirby is made of aluminum or another metal that can be polished I would think something like should work. If its small enough to pick up and maneuver around a bench buffer this would probably be great, if its larger or awkward it might be easer to use something where you move the buffing wheel around the part instead. Out of curiosity, is polishing vacuums a common thing?
Yes ,thanks for the reply.
Vacuum collectors like to polish their Kirby's and royals or any aluminum vacuum cleaners for that matter because we want to restore them and mint condition!
I love mine. Had it for about 7 years now. $199.99, best deal ever.
Agreed, still loving this thing!
Awesome video friend! At 100 some hours with no trans oil I would of had second thoughts on buying so hope you got lucky. There is a fuel pressure relief screw to vent before changing the fuel filter. You definitely took the fear of doing this job out! Thanks
It wasn't empty just low, but no issues so far! Thanks for the heads up on the fuel vent. Glad my video helped, good luck with yours!
Good stuff, much prefer Dynamic timing instead of using the LED. Would be more accurate to achieve 28 degrees as well.
You're right, dynamic is usually the best way to dial it in but the static timing is a great starting point. I installed this before the bike was built/running, at some point I would like to do some dynamic timing to get it just right.
Just got 8” model, actually made by VEVOR, instructions show the spacer mounted inboard between body and behind inner flange: Only the outer flange and retainer nut on the outside😵💫
Yea seems to be some variation, even HF has two sets of instructions saying different things haha. Spacers inboard definitely makes the most sense though.
Man when doin that job u replace hub bearing
Yea, I was hoping I wouldn't have to but quickly realized it was necessary. I also should have done the ball joints while I was in there, they went bad not too long after...
What's that filler you're using?
I use evercoat gold amzn.to/3yp8sCW
I had the same experience with the supplied wheels. They continued to throw material as long as I could stand it. Replace!!!!
9:27 those terminal protectors keep the leaking acid from coming in contact with the terminals. The terminals post although sealed, do leak some acid and vapors out of them and thats why your posts and terminals get the build up.
Thanks for the info!
I see the hydro filter doesn’t come with the home maintenance kit, do you know what the correct part number is? Also, what’s the gap and torque specs on the spark plugs? Thanks for the great video!
Correct, I bought the hydro filter separate. The links to everything I used are in the description. I believe the torque on the spark plugs is 18ftlbs. Thanks for watching!
Dude your bottom studs are upside down. 😢
Good eye, but pre 95, this is how the studs were installed from the factory. These were the stock studs, I didn't remove them.
i just picked up the same car for 750$ !! super happy
Great little dailys these things are! Good find for that price!
@@cheesingarage hell yeah brother turning out to be a really good car
@@cheesingarage build a lot of trucks on my channel but you earned my sub with this one
@@FirstGendodgegarage just subbed as well, always down for some good truck content!
Can the front and back wheels be turned while on it (washing white walls)?
It cant on its own, but if you put a center jack under to lift the wheels off you would be able to.
Help me out I can’t get the plug off and I don’t understand how to get it off
Did you figure it out?
My favorite part is replacing the pads because the pads they have right next to it don't fit.
Late to the game but this is quickly becoming one my favorite build series.
Glad to hear it! You're not too late, the series is still on going! (I work slow haha)
T40 is the size??
Hey, at 13:40 did you swap the push rods around?
I didn't swap them around, but I needed to remove them to get the rocker box back on. If you look closely, you'll see I put them back in the same spots.
Yeah I had the same problem with mine and I took and took the die grinder and ground two flats 180° apart from each other and use the 9 sixteenths wrench on the flats work just fine and if you wanna different wheels I would go to empire abrasives and get some wheels very good quality
Thanks for both suggestions!
Tdi swap it
I would love to, but people in my area are selling ALH swaps for the price I paid for this whole car
@@cheesingarage in EU we get 130HP 6spd manual TDIs, you would love it, I own one, with EU jetta called Bora wagon
My 08 Dodge Ram keeps blinking 4wd low while in 2wd and then eventually serv 4wd pops up. When I change my actuator do I need to have the truck in 4wd low then?
What I did was move the transfer case to match the new actuator. I was able to easily rotate it with a wrench like I showed in the video.
My neutral on 4x4 knob is flashing and my truck will only start if I push button (n button ) truck drives fine but I have no gauges unless I push it in . And only when I do .
That's interesting, different than the problem I had. I wonder if its the same issue or something else entirely. Let me know when you figure it out
@@cheesingarage skim key invalid
With that having aluminum heads, wouldn't it be a good idea to use some anti seize on those spark plugs?
Most spark plug manufactures I've seen recommend against using anti seize compounds because the plugs already come with an anti corrosion coating on them. I've never used anti seize on spark plugs before and I have never had an issue as long as they weren't over tightened when installed.
