    when I knit in the round I cast on on straight needles and knit the first row on them then transfer them to the round needle and join and Kelly as you say I knit an extra stitch to do as you said. This method seems to lower jogging I can't remember who I learned it off on youtube

    I love you so much OK I just found you and one of your most recent episodes but I am just learning how to make socks. I have made one sock and I’m doing it on 9 inch circular. I’ve done magic loop. It’s OK, but I’m in the 9 inch I guess I go all right. That’s what they always say about me.

    Hi! Thanks again for a great program. I just started my 3rd pair of socks and was wondering how you both keep track of your rows on a vanilla sock. Do you count as you go? Do you count the rows as you knit the second one, or just measure against the first sock? For my first pair I wrote down each row to keep track. I did the same on my second pair, but apparently forgot to mark down several because the foot section came out too big.

    Hi Kelly and Noelle, another enjoyable afternoon with you. Thank you for taking the time to share your knitting adventures with us. Kelly, a question for you. I am working on a new design - tip-to-tip crescent shawl - it is very size inclusive from headband to shawlette. (same size as Be Kind that Noelle is knitting) Can you please tell me what you consider the perfect size for a headband. (length and width) Thanks, Brenda

    Terry, I’m looking forward to reading her book and was just gifted a second novel this past week. We made beef shish kebabs and also mini pizzas on the barbecue using pita flatbreads (everyone got to make their own as per their taste). Kendall taught my niece how to make spider dogs on the campfire and she thought that was pretty fun!

    I am sure others have suggested this, but tugging on the second stitch after the BOR marker will tighten up the stitches and will get rid of the ladder.

    Hey Ladies! A pleasure to knit along with you... my test knit for Beth! And I love both of your sweaters Kelly and Noelle! Your colour choice is spot on, Noelle, for that green with tonal beige - love it! Yes the new one by Andrea Mowry looks so amazing - I just bought the pattern this morning, so now the yarn choice comes - nice that you can use some lighter weights doubled, instead of just a worsted weight single strand, so of course that opens up the colour possibilities from stash too! Have a great week, Cheers, Judith 💜💚

    I am knitting the Rowdy Tank. I have smaller shoulders and larger bust. I knit one size down for the top and increase for the bust. My question is, how do I add waist shaping in? Can I go down a needle size and knit a few inches, then go back up. Or is there something else I could try.

  • @KnitsnPieces
    @KnitsnPieces3 күн бұрын

    You could do that, I would probably decrease and increase needle sizes gradually, ie.. if you are using a 4 mm, change to 3.75 for a few rows, then 3.5 for a few rows then 3.25 etc then increase in the same manner. The number of rows and the size you go down to depends on how much you want to decrease and the length of your torso. The other option is decreases 2 stitches each side of each under arm every so many rows and then increase in the same manner. You would still need to figure out where you want to place them and how many you need to do.

    Always a joy to catch up with you two, even if I can’t make the live. Noelle, every time I see woven fabric I think I’d like to get into weaving, but right now I really don’t have the time or money (or space!) to begin. It’s on my someday list! Kelly, that yarn store looked so so fun. I love the look of the link tee, but not sure if my crochet skills are enough. I look forward to seeing that one progress. I’m currently testing a sweater for Florence Spurling, a designer who I have not knitted before but have always wanted to, so that is exciting. See you next week!

    Hi ladies, it’s a lot cooler in Scotland it was 18 deg Celsius today and that was cosy for Scotland we don’t usually go over 28 deg Celsius on a heatwave. Love youre podcasts I’m running behind watching it’s Friday, I keep a few patterns photos I fancy doing on my phone, and if I see anything I can check how much I need. I do go off list though lol. I went looking for yarn for a shawl test knit I’m doing which was just a one skein of sock weight wool so I left with sweater quantity of sport weight for petite knits anchor cardigan don’t know why I’ve got one not finished right now 😂 didn’t know I was going to knit another till I came out of shop 😂.
